Nice atmosphere revolving around a 50's diner with great burgers and fries, milkshakes and classic music. plenty of outside tables, clean restrooms, dog friendly, good times.

We went in early fall, just after college had begun, so the place was drive-thru only and you could sit at the outdoor tables after you had your food, to avoid having to service the inside with few staff. Hence the low rating on atmosphere, but everything else was wonderful! Extremely fast drive thru, efficient system, and really good food!

My friend and I both got the grilled chicken sandwich, fries, and milkshakes.

This is a convenient spot to grab a bite before you enter or after you leave Presque Isle. We went on the last day they are open, and in the "off season", but even then it was a bit hectic. The parking situation is confusing. Am I in the right lot? Why is it only 30 minutes parking? Can I turn left out of here when leaving or not?

Very kitschy decor which is fun. The food is typical roadside diner fast food (think DQ), but that is what I expected so I can't complain too strenuously. I do appreciate the grilled hotdog, but maybe for a footlong dog they could use a footlong bun?

I enjoyed this place a lot! The burger was tasty, the fries were great, and the ice cream was delicious. Definitely an Erie staple worth trying!

Parking: This place does get busy, but there's a good amount of parking to be found.

Wheelchair accessibility: Pretty accessible. My mom has a walker and was able to navigate easily for the most part.

The bad: The burger patty was gross! I'm pretty sure they use the frozen Bubba meat patties, which are injected with water, so when grilled, it turns grey like it was boiled. We each had one bite and threw it away. Should have asked for my money back.
Also, the onion rings and fries are just frozen and then fried. Nothing fresh cut and battered as far as I can tell.

The good: service was good, and the hot dog was edible. The location is great and the decor was cute! Fountain coke was right mix of syrup and fizz.

Overall would not eat here again. If you do, just get the hot dog and the ice cream.

Always enjoy coming here....good burgers and hot dogs, and the orange/vanilla twist ice cream is the great! But check to see what size cone you are getting when ordering...I only saw one price listed and didn't know I needed to specify a size....I ended up getting a small cone while my friends got a much larger one....that was disappointing.

Gone are the iconic days of Sarah’s at Presque Isle. Gone are the French fries that got better as the summer went on. Gone are the many condiments you could put on your yourself. Gone are the flavors readily available to sprinkle on and dip your fries in. (Gone is the flavor Of the fries.) Gone is that 50’s feel they are obviously still trying to achieve. Gone is that little hot dog stand on the corner with the crispy hotdogs.

Sarah’s used to be one of mine and my family’s favorite places to visit in the summers. Ever since Covid the quality and flavor has diminished greatly. I have stopped coming here as frequently since, just stopping in now and again over the last few years to see if it has regained what it once had…sadly, it hasn’t. My review won’t mean much, it seems this is the direction many restaurants etc.. are headed nowadays. Sarah’s is still doing a booming business, and probably will continue. But locals who have lived here for awhile will know the difference.
