Great shrimp and steak so juicy and yummy
Kid-friendliness: Good kid meals
That about sums it up. Food was not that great. Under cooked Fries. Chicken was dry. Used to be a decent chain. Will never eat at any of their locations again
If I could leave zero stars I would. Absolutely terrible. Not only was our entire order wrong down to the drinks, but it was cold and soggy. To add to that it took a lot longer than the time it was suppose to be ready and they couldn't even give me an estimate on how long. When I called to let them know of this they pretty much told me oh well and wouldn't do a thing about it. Definitly don't reccomend ordering here terrible service all around.
It was a late order but the burger arrived fresh n hot... maybe the best burger I've had.. awesome.. will get my wife one so she can try it..
Good chain restaurant meal. Not pit style competition BBQ, but cooked well and good meat. Smoked wings meaty and something different. Very good sides and large portions.
A manager sexually harassed me my first day working at this restaurant. I submitted a form for unpaid wages & GM Rick Berner entered a disassociated state and sexually assaulted me for 30 minutes.
I went with my children and ordered Jumbo Smoked Wings. What came were not Jumbo ! They were the smallest wings I've seen in a long time. When I asked the waitress if by any chance they brought me the wrong dish, the answer was " I don't know, I've only worked here for a month". Later the Chef/manager (I think) came out in a red chef coat. He reassure me that those were the Jumbo ones. No Way. I asked if the changed providers... Nope! He was not rude at all but the quality of the place went down.
I am visiting family in Erie and we decided to order BBQ for dinner. We ordered by phone for pickup. I really love brisket and ordered 1 pound in addition to our dinners. My dinner was the 1/3 rack of St. Louis ribs with 1/4 bbq chicken, Mac and cheese and baked beans. The chicken was moist and tasty. The ribs were burnt and what meat was there was crispy. The brisket was cubed, which I am not used to having. That would be ok if the cubes weren't tough and rubbery. I am accustomed to tender, juicy brisket. Extremely disappointing. The baked beans were good, but the mac and cheese was tasteless. It was not worth the price, the bbq was bad and I will not get food there again.
we always have had good meals at smokey bones. staff is always friendly and helpful. my wife and i had an awesome waiter named robert. he went out of his way to make our meal and visit , feel special. first, he was very friendly and helpful and polite. i had received a $10 , email coupon as long as you spent $25 or more. i also had a free dessert coupon for my birthday. he accepted both, which he didn't have to do. but, this is one reason we continue to eat at smokey bones in erie, when we are here. i made sure he received a very nice tip. by the way, our food was great. thank you robert for an enjoyable meal and visit. all servers could take a lesson from your politeness.
Restaurant was not busy at all with most seats open. A we were seated there was obvious crud on the table and rather than taking us to a clean table we were forced to stand there as the hostess struggled to figure out how to clean it off. Very odd experience. The food was food. My brisket was served as I had never seen it served before. It was cut very thick which did not help with the fact it was undercooked and very tough and chewy and if I want bbq sauce on my brisket I will put it on. That’s why you have a variety of sauces on the table I would guess. Pulled pork was not bad but not very warm. Pretty sure this is a bbq place but the food might make you wonder.

Drove to Erie for a belated Valentine's dinner (Feb 15). Decided to try Smokey Bones. The one in near Pittsburgh was good. Unfortunately, Erie didn't live up to our expectations by a long way. We were seated at a corner booth (at approx. 5pm) and the light above the table was not working. I asked our server, Ryan, if he could get the light working as it was dark. He stated it was likely a blown bulb as he'd never seen the lights turned off. There was no attempt to rectify the situation or offer us an alternative seating location. We ordered our dinners. Ryan came and refilled the drinks and said the food was coming. After I had drunk three coffees, our food eventually came (perhaps a 30 min wait!). Immediately, it was obvious my BBQ chicken, broccoli and baked potato were lukewarm/cold. My wife and daughter's food was hot. I immediately told Ryan and asked for hot food. After a few minutes the plate came back microwave piping hot, along with the sauce trail from where the chicken was slid off the plate. The BBQ chicken was certainly not fall-off-the-bone, but OK since I was hungry. My daughter's Mac and Cheese dish was good, but my wife's Fish and Chip dinner had one portion of fish that was cold in the middle and on both pieces, the batter was very oily. She didn't bother to mention it. What was the point. Ryan didn't seem interested in addressing any issues. As we left, Ryan hoped everything was OK adn I mentioned I'd leave a review. He just grinned. Needless to say, we won't be wasting $72 eating again at Smokey Bones.
Very slow service for only 3 tables occupied today. Ordered a burger (one of their specialties) and it took over 25 mins to receive. Also bartender was absent 95% of the time so I couldn’t reorder drinks or inquire about meal
We have been traveling to Erie for Black Friday for many years We decided that our Friday break would be at Smokey Bones The six of us where all happy with our visit and our waitress Alexandra was amazing
Seeking a late lunch after some restaurants had closed recently in Erieturned us looking, we changed our direction to Smokey Bones, a chain restaurant. This franchise near a shopping center off the I-79 has delusions of grandeur! We chose our lunches from the $9.99 combinations that included some smoked options.Entree with one regular side. Extra for most sides. WE missed the overcharge on the billfor three orders in the effort to get the check and leave Everyone of our meals was overcharged.BEWARE HERE I chose the smoked pulled chicken allegedly for $9.99 with one side. I chose the ordinary fries. This scimpy portion made it difficult to share a taste as about 1/2 cup of smoked pulled chicken was dumped on the plate with a piece of garlic toast and fries. Dried out , tasteless the chicken was a bad choice. Two others opted for the pulled pork lunch ( $9.99 allegedly) which was inadequate to make a sandwich with the portion. Dried out the pulled pork had little flavor. Better as light dog food. One side each got them fries or cinnamon apples with a surcharge,. Always a surcharge here. Our hearty eater did a make your own combo burger. To my surprise his burger lunch here cost $23 with an additional $3.09 for ice tea. I expect more than a one course burger lunch for $26.09 in a chain restaurant of this style. No rack of ribs. No steak. No smoked specialty. No seafood. What a rip off. Our service was slow to refills and needed prodding with all drinks costing over $3. Not a good service mark. So the bill caught us for over $16 a person with tax for lunch for four mediocre plates in a suburban Erie shopping mall. Not an urban cost center! Later we spotted the altered prices on our meals Our host did not wish to wait for our slow waitress to correct the bill to menu prices. WE'd spent too long waiting here already I'd say avoid this restaurant as Smokey Bones with empty booths could not give us good service or give decent servings of thier dried out signature entrees. Find a Texas Road House or Cracker Barrel if you like chains, I've never had an overpriced meal in either.
The ribs were drier compared previous experience with this chain. Service was good but the ribs were not as hot as the corn and potato.
