Waitress acted annoyed and hostile at my simple beer and burger order. Burger was like a super-sized, high school cafeteria burger. Brown and dry all the way through. The “oven-baked fries” were also very dry. Both seemed as if they had been under the heat lights for a while. But the parking lot was full at 6:15. So apparently people like it.

So let me tell you a little story. We went here for an impromptu lunch. I had the reuben, My wife had the buffalo chicken salad. Both were wonderful and great portions. Price was super fair and the atmosphere was great.

We left satisfied, and fully ready for a four or five star review.

This is where the story takes a bit of a turn. While in the area, we decided to stop at Ollie's. Midway through the shopping experience, I felt a little rumbly in the tumbly. I politely asked for a restroom, none available for public use. I left my wife in line, to secure the usage of a neighboring business' facilities. About fifteen steps out, I felt a familiar feeling. Those with IBS or stomach problems, understand. I feared that I was losing the battle........ In the middle of a ninety two degree day, 1pm, I scurried to the first spot I saw. My sincere apologies to that car owner and the lot attendents. Looking back, it had to have been the thousand island, from my Rueben.

In closing, this is a wonderful spot.... But may I suggest ensuring all your condiments are fully refrigerated? When there is mayonnaise involved, no chances. It is the only thing that I had to eat, so process of elimination..... 😞
3/5 stars. Had I not deficated in Millcreeks parking lot, 4.5/5

Edit: came back the next day..... Pizzas were fantastic!

The food as always was top notch. John and Russell have built a brand that has thus far not slipped on quality or on value. The pizza was crispy and hot and the pretzel was done with the perfect crunch and consistency. The only down side was being close to the bar, well staffed, low number of customers and yet it still took a while to get our drinks, refills and for our server just to check in. Overall still a great experience and still worth a return trip and a trip to the other (newer) restaurants on upper Peach and on the bayfront soon. Keep up the great work U Pick 6!

The atmosphere was the best part of our experience. Unfortunately, as my first experience here- I will not return. We ordered pizza and the blacken chicken Alfredo. Both items came out freezing cold. The Alfredo dish tasted like a store bought sauce that had a synthetic after taste. We then tried to just grab some fries as a quick easy snack. The fries came out so hard you could not even break them apart. I’m not sure if it was a new cook or if this is typical of the product of food they serve, but someone should probably manage the quality of food that is being served.

The food was good. The service was terrible! She kept saying sorry for the wait. There were 4 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. I asked for water and never got it.

John Melody was there, and staff were all friendly and accommodating. Pick 2 meal was great (bisque and club) with chicken gorgonzola salad...total pursuit of my happiness!

This was my second visit with family in a two week stretch. I reminds me of what I've like best about British and neighborhood pubs - a fantastic assortment of beer, delicious food and a friendly atmosphere.
And, I found a local source for NA Guinness! It really is as great as I hoped it might be.
