Very loud the evening we went. Food was excellent as all 4 of us enjoyed our meals. Crab dip.was.some of the best I have ever had. Took a very long time from ordering to getting the meals.

Disappointed, again. We weren’t thrilled last time we went to Taverna, but we’re always willing to try again (once upon a time, they were great). Went for dinner this evening and it was mediocre at best. The server was very friendly, but that’s where it ended. My husband really only wants to go there for the lamb chops, and they were out. He got the ribeye, which he was fairly happy with, but the Caesar dressing tasted odd. I got the baked salmon, and while the sauce was okay, they salted the fish so much I couldn’t even eat it. When we said something to the server, she asked if it was the fish or the sauce. It was definitely the fish. She went to the kitchen and asked if they added salt to the fish and they admitted they did, but when they were told that they were way too heavy handed with it, they didn’t offer to do anything about it. I literally could not eat the fish, it was so salty. Which was a shame, because it was actually cooked properly.
Add to that that the renovations they did a couple years ago makes the place lack the warm feeling that it used to have, the floors were greasy feeling, the menus sticky, and the fact that they still haven’t done anything with the potholed parking lot made the overall experience less than desirable. It’s a shame, as we really used to like the place. I doubt we’ll go back.

Visited two nights in a row, and both times the experience exceeded our expectations! Diverse menu with everything cooked perfectly! Nice selection of beers as well!

First visit was amazing, with an excellent selection of beers and diverse menu offerings! The Ahi Tuna and Pork Chops were both cooked perfectly and the desserts were huge portions! We will definitely be back!

We met another couple at Taverna 5450. It was a Tuesday night. The crowd builded during the night. A couple appetizers weren't available, one was rueben balls, our friends suggested before we learned they weren't available. The entree were very well done. Loved my tuna steak. We spent two hours with our friends and weren't rushed out quickly. It was a very enjoyable night.

Decent place. They got slammed when we went, which caused an extended time for the food, and they didn't appear to have enough help for the crowd. The servers were very pleasant and apologetic for the delays. My drinks with ice kept coming out with stuff in it so I eventually had to get no ice and the drink was fine.

My family and I have passed this restaurant for many years (we don't live to far) but never stopped in. Today we actually did and was pleasantly surprised. Good service. Best fries we've ever had! All burgers ordered were delicious. Definitely will be coming back!!!
My wife and I are locals in Fairfield. We had not been there for quite some time. I used to attend an open mic hosted by a friend Dempsey Price some years ago. Nice atmosphere. This Friday evening we walked into Taverna and had one of the best dinners. I have to say, I’m a lover of a good Ribeye.
Here’s my review of my Ribeye Friday evening.
To the chef: This was the best Ribeye steak I have ever had. Cooked perfectly at med/rare. Seasoned perfectly. As tender of a steak you could possibly get. Topped with a brown sauce/ gravy and crispy onion straws. Asparagus’s side cooked perfect. With side salad.
I’ll will be back for another one soon.
My wife had a pair of wonderfully made crab cakes with buttered Broccoli florets along with a beautifully made side Salad.
Thank you Taverna for having great service and food paired with an affordable relaxing atmosphere.
We shall return soon in the future!

A nice place for food and drinks but after 8 pm the music volume goes up and the younger crowd takes over. Otherwise had a nice time. The food was great.
Update apparently that was the first time we had going into this location, but since we’ve been coming to this location most every Friday or Saturday night. The food is always great and the younger crowd must’ve only been that particular evening that we went in the first time because although it is busy, it’s a very nice crowd of people. The food and drinks are always very good.
