Not open to public, got turned away at gate. Drove 30 min to location. Wanted dinner, cocktail and cigar. Need to put this info on Google, not sure why they advertise a private establishment on public internet. Was looking forward to this destination as a stop after 2 weeks of military officer training.

We stayed in the Chateau. The room was fine. The restaurants were pretty good in their execution, but we found the menus pretty limited in selection. The staff was unfailingly friendly. But overall, we found the entire place extremely overpriced for what we got or what activities we could have done (we mostly toured around the area outside of the resort). It was just fine, and at those prices, we expected more.
Our experience was exceptional! We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our time there! We were celebrating our 1-year Wedding Anniversary. Last year, April 2022, we spent our Honeymoon there for a few days and we loved it and now want to make this a yearly trip right around our Wedding Anniversary. Something special! The dining was exceptional! We ate at Barattolo, Acqueous, and Rockwell's Bistro! The dining experience was amazing! The presentation of our dinners we beautiful and not to mention delicious! The staff was so kind and so friendly to us. They made sure we had everything we needed and was satisfied. We spent time at the Spa and had a couples massage that was a very relaxing and an enjoyable experience. The Nemacolin Staff helped make the celebration of our Wedding Anniversary very memorable, special and welcoming and we look forward to coming back yearly celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. Thank You
Nemacolin is a place where dreams come true and where everyone is someone. From the moment you check in until the moment you depart, you will experience nothing but the best hospitality has to offer. The accommodations are first-class no matter where you stay, and there is something for everyone regardless of interests or activity level. The staff always go above and beyond and often find meaningful ways to make your stay that much more memorable.
April 13, 2023 - The Nemacolin Resort was wonderful. It is an oasis that you may never want to leave! From the heated pools at The Peak, to the variety of dining options, to golf, spa, and Falling Rock, it is a luxurious retreat for family and friends. The amenities and top-notch staff service make the stay a dream in every way. Much to do with all the fine touches to the details. We would return over and over! Thanks Joseph Hardy III for what you have created. It is a joy.
Nemcolin is a special place! Perfect for any season and for multigenerational families. The service is fantastic. The spa is the best I have ever been to. The staff is experienced and very knowledgeable.
We would highly recommend Nemacolin for a family vacation. Our children are in their 20s and they had a wonderful vacation. Truly a place for all ages. We barely scratch the surface in four days of the things you could do. The service was outstanding, and probably one of the best parts of Nemacolin.

Wonderful special place with amazing ambiance and service. Magnificent spa for a one of kind experience. Excellent food and many resort wide activities to enjoy in any season. The aesthetics are amazing with interesting artwork and sculpture around every corner!
If you have been here before you know how great it has been for handicapped accessibility. But, with the construction the only option to go any where not in the Chateau is to use the street or take the shuttle. The sidewalk from the Chateau they have the ramp covered with temporary structures so use the street.
We visited for a long weekend in March, staying at a Washington Townhome with our teens. This visit was intended to be a bit of a splurge since we only had a few nights away. On the plus side of our visit, the staff at Nemacolin was responsive, friendly, and hardworking. They were some of the nicest hotel and restaurant folks we have come across and they were the highlight of the experience. We struggle to feel Nemacolin was worth what we paid. The townhouse had areas where the wallpaper was visibly taped with Scotch tape. The space was cleaned well by the friendly cleaner but there were noticeable stains on the sofa cushions, bathroom walls had smudge marks all over them, shower grout was grimy, several light fixtures didn't work, hairdryer broken, etc. This made the stay feel like your average airport hotel - not the "elegant" experience that was touted on the website. We heard from a shuttle driver that they plan to re-do the townhomes soon, so maybe management is not investing until they can renovate. But Scotch taped wallpaper and broken lights for $650/night is off. We enjoyed the Peak pool - great service, nice heated robes and towels. However, the two times we tried to go to Cosmic Bowling it was rented for private events. Be sure to check and see what is open or not before you go for a weekend - a large (but fun) wedding group seemed to have rented out several spaces. The food was fine but premium prices for average quality. It felt like your basic catering/hotel food or something from a chain restaurant. We ate at Barratolo, the Tavern, and the Peak, so we were at the more casual spots and perhaps the higher end restaurants are truly exceptional. There are some fun features at Nemacolin - an animal adventure exhibit, cool sculptures and art, and nice hiking/walking trails. The spa looked nice. We used the gym, which was clean and well-kept with a friend attendant/trainer. Overall, this was an okay stay but I felt the value was half of what we paid, at best, and we would not be inclined to return. I really didn't know what to expect from Nemacolin but the website and marketing made it look high-end. I am writing this review to share our experience in the hope that others who "splurge" as we did aren't left feeling disappointed and a little bit duped.
What a horrible experience. On our first day, we had reservation for tubing. The conditions were very unsafe. On one run, my wife collided with another guest because the berm between the tubing lanes had worn down, resulting in guests colliding at the end of the track. My wife had to have a concussion review with the ski patrol. Then, one of the beds in our room was broken. When you sat on one side of the bed, the entire side lifted 10 inches in the air. We called and had the engineer examine it, no fixes were made. It was hard to sleep. Housekeeping was very spotty - for example, we received no service on our first day, even though we requested it multiple times via the front desk line. Bags of dirty linens were left outside of our room for six plus hours. We were supposed to receive a $150 hotel credit on account of some of these issues, yet it was not included in our final folio. Last, the Lodge was really dirty and unkept. I realize the hotel is preparing for a make-over, but charging guests the same rate (even as the carpets were all bunched up, the walls marked, etc).
What a marvelous experience! Went for New Years and it was all you can imagine. Wonderful staff beautiful grounds. Food was out of this world. Tried skiing took lessons with Aubrey she was kind, patient and great knowledge. John at Rockwells our waiter was Great!
