Over charge for drinks-- long island $32..they can kick Mudd. Something is wrong with black owned bars..too thirsty.. parking lot is very, very dark--no lights had to use a flashlight..

After having covered almost 40km by bike... at 20.00.. a few meters from the bike delivery, reading the reviews, we chose this restaurant. If the reviews were decidedly good, inside a magical atmosphere. Impeccable Service and attention of the waiters. Prices as high as the quality that the place reserves. A restaurant for a busy dinner that leaves no doubt to the evening... will be great.

It felt less like dining and more like being carried on a voyage of flavors and elegance — an escape one longs to relive. The food was extraordinary, the staff genuinely welcoming, and the meat simply exquisite, perhaps the finest I have tasted in the United States on this journey. The cuisine proved wonderfully adaptable for children as well, all delivered with the utmost professionalism.

Still a shining beacon on the hill thanks to the staff. Moira, Colin, Bill C, George and Heather and the entire staff know how it's done on DC. Doesn't matter to them what side of the aisle you reside, let's eat and have a good time is their vibe! Don't forget to say Hi to Omar and Arturo!

Stopped by for lunch as I was walking from the Capital back to my hotel. Temperature was quite hot that day. I was in casual clothes and a bit sweaty. But, they treated me with kindness, openness and welcoming. They didn’t make me feel out of place. And, great meal - I had the ribeye sandwich. Incredible. Will definitely return.

We got the dry-aged NY strip steaks as recommend by our waiter. They were over-priced for the quality. We got their signature Doli martini and an old-fashioned. Both were disappointing.

Excellent food, ambience and staff all are at the best. Great location, antique look of interior, an impressive wine racks and meat storage window all at booking counter show the class of the restaurant. Host showing table, Head Waiter taking orders and his assistant arranging table setting to suit the order, minimum wait time for starters and breads plus butter to nibble until starters. Cozy aircon. The grilled chicken and grilled Salmon were main dishes with Clam Chowder soup and Lobster+Crab meat cake (were for starters) were heavenly. The main dishes were divine. Had Chocolate based cake for dessert and it was too good. Two hours, leisurely spent for $212 for two was worth for this location (Capitol Hill nearby) and excellent food. Very courteous service and quiet ambience. An unforgettable dining experience.

Made a reservation back in early April for my son’s graduation dinner. There were 11 family members. The food was delicious; we had filets, fish, ribeye and pasta, and for appetizers; calamari, shrimp, crab cocktail, lobster and crab cake and for side dishes, lobster mac and cheese, two different potato side dishes and spinach dip. The service was very attentive. The only issue we had was that I was promised a table in the back so we can have some privacy, but when we got there, that wasn’t the case. I didn’t want to make a big issue out of it, as we were in a festive mood, so I emailed the restaurant a day later. Both LC Stephens and Erin Heath were very professional and sent us a gift card that was more than what I expected. Will be going back for dinner next month for sure.

Very friendly staff, food was disappointing for me but the group enjoyed their meals. The kitchen went the extra mile for a colleague who had special dietary requirements and that was a bonus.

Business dinner with a table for 5. Service was courteous and prompt with an attention to detail. Each of the 3 courses was tasty. It was a lighter dinner and included the Cherrywood Smoked Bacon to start, the Roasted Chicken Breast w/Risotto, and ending with Crème Brûlée for dessert. NOTE: Lighting is just a bit too dim in my opinion.

Everything was top notch. Elegant old school atmosphere. Very professional service. Excellent French onion soup, Caesar salad, and fries. Outstanding wine list, including excellent selections by the glass.

We accidentally found this restaurant but overall the food and service was excellent. Even though we did not have a reservation we were seated prompty and our waiter was so knowledgable and happy. We discovered he had worked their for eleven years I had the Halibut fish special and it was amazing. My wife had a steak that was excellent. All of the side dishes are extra, and do not accompany the meal so my wife and I shared ours together with our individual meal. The prices are high, at least for us, but the overall atmosphere, and quality of the food really was amazing. After the meal we decided to try a dessert too and our waiter recommended the key lime pie. While our overall meal was fabulous, this pie did not live to the standards of the rest of the meal and we were disappointed. It had a huge graham cracker crust, but the pie itself was more sour than sweet, plus the color was a dark yellow and did not even look that good on the place, and while we could have had a great finish to the meal, this lowered our experience some. Skip the Key Lime Pie!

Excellent meal cannot fault it, pricey but worth it. Shoutout to our server Eric, very nice guy who gave us great bar suggestions also.

Stopped by after a visit to the National Postal/Stamp museum on Massachusetts Ave., highly recommend btw. Did not have a reservation, arrived about 3:30 and restaurant was packed. From the outside it looks like it’s closed, dark blinds and no lights. But it is definitely a local favorite. Moira, our hostess in the bar area was very friendly and welcoming. It was packed but Moira was gracious and professional. Had a couple of Grey Goose martinis, clam chowder and crab cakes. It was a good day.
