My husband & I ALWAYS would stop here for breakfast when we were in this area.. Last 2 times in 2023 March & May we stopped & our food was just not like it’s been for over the years.. Our fried potatoes were burnt.. The waitress served them to us & didn’t care. The Fritata was cold.. & burnt potatoes.. We didn’t complain.. ?♀️ The waitress knew what she served.. We paid for our meal & left it..
As we waited outside for a table, a waitress came out and loudly greeted a regular customer with three young kids. She said "I'll take your order now so it will be ready when you get seated" then she ignored us. The french toast was soggy, the home fries were burned and cooked in a strange seasoning. The bacon was cooked in stacks and raw in the middle. My husband ordered pancakes there were terrible. How do you mess up pancakes?? The waitress asked if we wanted more coffee. We said yes yet she never returned. This place focused only on their regular customers and ignored non-regulars. It costs extra to take leftovers home and it is cash only. Save yourself time and money and head up the road to The Country Store and Diner for a fabulous breakfast.
Arrived Saturday at 1:20 for a quick lunch. Hours are posted to 2 pm open. walked in and was told they were not seating anymore. I left drove to castle tavern (5 min drive) ordered lunch and was done and left by 2pm. If you don't want to be open till 2pm they should not post the hours. One cook, one bus girl and two waitresses with maybe 8 people seated. Staff should be able to handle 2 more for lunch during posted business hours. My guess is just laziness by the staff. Won't waste my time to stop again.
Had waffle with bacon and coffee. Waffle was a bit overdone and kept splitting in half. Have never seen that before. Overall, the breakfast was enjoyable, just not \\\"great\\\".

A lot of people have never heard of this hidden Gem on the southern outskirts of Pittsburgh. This establishment has been open for years and I have been frequenting it every time I visit Pittsburgh . The food and staff are great the portions are big it’s a locally kept secret and once you visit once then it will become a tradition.
My first time going here. If your looking for a.greqt breakfast in the finnleyville area definitely do yourself a favor and go here
funny thing, this page states hours 7am-2pm. set foot at the front door at 1:30pm - they turned us away, told us last seating is at 1pm. well we checked the hours before we drove their. only to arrive in plenty of time to have lunch - guess they don't need business and they can't change the hours on their page. they would rather have people drive their to find it closed!
Great little breakfast spot, with tons of options, quick service, and a very friendly staff!
This is everything you want in a local restaurant and the chef(s) are top notch. Try the bleu burger.

Love this place. Great food and service.
Cash only. Poor service, but it was busy. Rude at register. Women’s restroom was atrocious so I used the men’s room. Food was good but can’t go back again. Sadly.
Excellent breakfast.
Great place. Lots of food. Friendly people. Will def make this a weekly thing.
Great food and great service for a reasonable price!
