We'll jump on the bandwagon and say this place is awesome. The food is exceptional, the prices are fair, and you can BYO alcohol! It's always packed so be prepared to get there early. But the entire front end staff is so friendly and helpful and seems unflappable. The menu changes every day, but they maintain a small menu of regular items. Regulars and specials are always amazing. And they have these $2 cookies that are truly enormous! Haven't tried one yet, but I can hardly believe they only charge $2. I've had other desserts which were delish. You order at the front counter, then they deliver the food to your table. We've had a little bit of an issue with a couple of the people who deliver the food not responding to requests or corrections, but that's not an everyday problem. I highly recommend this place!

First time at the restaurant. I think they were a little busy so it was taking some time for our order to arrive. But they came over and told us it was being made. Then they came back and said the crab patty was overcooked, and the chef didn't want to serve it, so he was redoing the order. We've been to places where they'd serve it anyway, so that was nice. My wife had a salad with fried chicken. The salad was made with fresh corn, cut off the cob.

So, a pretty good lunch all around.

Got the table next to the door so I had to eat while a bunch of people crowded around me, running into my chair and watching me eat.

I have heard great things about the place and honestly had a very good FIRST experience, however my SECOND experience with V&V was absolutely disappointing and frustrating.

I intended on ordering pizza to-go for dinner today, however they shared that they don't do pizza on Mondays. So, I spoke with the gentleman there who talked me into getting sandwiches to-go and assured me they'd put everything on the side and that the food we chose would reheat well.

We ordered and went home anticipating a good meal! Well, after 30+ mins home, I was unpacking the bags to put the food in the fridge and realized everything was stuffed into 1 container- the fries and sandwich buns soggy from the toppings being shoved in the same container. The food looked so unappealing and felt wet. I called the restaurant back and it just aggravated me even more. I was offered a replacement, but being over 30 mins away that wasn't an option for me and honestly a waste of my time. Other than that, the FOH Mgr didn't seem to care about the poor service and quality of food we were provided, just brushing me off.
So disappointing. So here I am writing a review, in hopes to help someone else out. Don't order take out from here! They apparently don't know how to package their foods for a good to-go experience. 😞

Such a delicious restaurant. Can’t recommend enough. Went for lunch. The crab cake sandwich was just pure crab. Kids had chicken tenders which was large enough to feed two adults. Everything is made fresh and perfectly executed. Even the chips are superb. Bring a bottle of wine and enjoy. You won’t be disappointed.

We go almost every Wednesday. This is the best kept secret. It’s only 2 minutes from our house. Excellent food EVERY time. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Not noisy like some restaurants. The food is out of this world delicious. I seriously could eat there every day. Do yourself a big favor and go.

Everything is amazing. I loved the lobster roll and my wife's Cuban shrimp were amazing.

V&V is, and has always been, the best thing to have happened to Finleyville. We are so thankful we have the most delicious restaurant just minutes from our house! The owners are so incredibly kind and the atmosphere is very unique. Also, their new pizza shop is AMAZING!

V&V Scratch Kitchen Hit a home run with their crispy Alaskan cod sandwich. The seasoning of the cod is the best I've ever had, and who doesn't love waffle fries and homemade slaw on the side? We will definitely be returning to this establishment very soon, and the convenience of ordering a Lenten carry out lunch of such high quality made us very happy.
