Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard is a wonderful place to visit. The service is great, and the location on a major road makes it easily accessible. The signature cherry water ice with vanilla custard is a must-try, and the pretzel is a must-have, especially for Philadelphia-area locals. Other flavors, such as chocolate banana custard, mango, and vanilla ice cream, may be available at different locations. The staff is friendly, pleasant, and efficient, making for a pleasant experience.
The water ice is the best, with unique flavors like Swedish fish, peach, dragonfruit, pear, blue raspberry, tangerine, and cotton candy. Some flavors come and go, so check the menu. The gelati are great, and there’s plenty of parking and outdoor seating. The line moves quickly, but pretzels can be pricey. Kids love it too.
