Took the inlaws to dinner as I haven't been there in 20 years or more. Like the menu says, you're there for the cheese steaks. Locals are friendly. There are plenty of drink options, and the winning drink was the Blood Mary. Beers were cold. The register accepts CCs (some eateries in the region are cash only). There was only one waitress, and she may have been helping the chef, so it took a little bit, but all food was piping hot and served together. All in all, a great meal out at super affordable prices and some local taxidermy on display as well.

Nice mountain-top restaurant and inn with a comfortable atmosphere. We had chicken breasts with different toppings (one with broccoli and cheddar and one with mozzarella and brucheta). Both were tasty and filling. For dessert we had red velvet cake. It was a nice Sunday late afternoon dinner. Also the service was friendly and welcoming.

There were 7 of us who drove 1 1/2hrs to get there from Elmira NY to get there for dinner with a table reserved. Once seated we were greeted and introduced to our friendly and very personable waitress (named Angel). When it came time to order we ordered onion rings, stuffed mushrooms, Jalapeño poppers, fried shrimp, corn poppers for appetizers which all came out in a timely manner and were great. But were then told that there was No steaks or prime rib left for the evening. And so 4 of us had to make alternative choices. 15-20 mins later we were then told that there were in fact a few Black Diamond steaks left, which triggered 3 of us who originally wanted steaks to delete our alternative choices back to steaks. Then when our dinners came out 4of us who had ordered fries were served tater tots instead with no mention of fries also being out. One of our guests had ordered the “special of the night” which was the meatloaf was told he had no meatloaf. So he was offered a steak for the cost of the “special” (which was a generous offer. And then the Soup of the day was a cheese & sausage soup, which they were also out of, so our waitress had said would be complimentary for 2 of us because there was not enough for both to get a proper serving of. But we were still charged for. There were also no mushrooms & onions on our steaks which we were still charged for.So at the end of our meal 3 of us in our dinner crowd who all have extensive restaurant experience all agreed that the miscommunication between the kitchen staff to the waitstaff about the actual inventory was unsatisfactory. And would suggest for them as a team to tighten up their communication. So please guys none of “us” like to eat at the “chain restaurants” and prefer to keep these privately owned establishments in business. And hope that ya”ll can tighten up your communications to stay in business ?.

We stopped today(10/4/23)after we found out Big Mike's was closed due to a family emergency and the Inn became our second choice. The service was great and the food mostly likewise, but with the cheesesteaks not knowing we said yeah with sauce added. IMO that ruined the cheesesteak for this sauce wasn't like a fry or garlic sauce, it was I guess a tomato based sauce like something you'd top spaghetti. The fries that came with the cheesesteaks were excellent and I also ordered 6 Buffalo wings and they were very, very, good. Overall I'd visit again when in the area, but sauce on my cheesesteak? No siree Bob!

We had rented a house at a local campground, but unfortunately, there were wifi issues, and the area had no cell coverage. This made it challenging to communicate with our three daughters and their families, who were driving in to spend the weekend with us. Feeling a bit stranded, we decided to visit Forksville Inn to ask if we could use their wifi.To our delight, the bartender greeted us with a warm and friendly smile and willingly allowed us to connect to their wifi. I decided to order a beer as a gesture of gratitude, and to my surprise, it was only $1.75! Such a reasonable price for a refreshing drink. As we reconnected with our daughters and made plans, we discovered it was Fish Fry Friday at the Inn. Feeling curious, we decided to stay and enjoy the meal. Our waitress was incredibly efficient and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food turned out to be delicious and satisfying. What truly impressed us was when the waitress came back to our table and asked if we wanted another piece of fish. It was a pleasant surprise, as we hadn't expected such generous service.Overall, our experience at Forksville Inn was fantastic, thanks to the friendly bartender, efficient waitress, and the unexpected Fish Fry Friday. We are grateful for their hospitality and will cherish the memories of that evening.

First time there it is a little hidden gem. I went for the fish fry on Friday night it was excellent. The service was great. I can't answer the question about how much my sister and brother-in-law treated.
