Best of all was the service. Everyone was so kind & pleasant. Thank you to the staff at Zake's for helping us start our week on a positive note!!

Were ordered carry out and I’m giving grace and consideration since is a new restaurant on Howell Mill Rd. The ceviche was bland, and it was overpowered with lime, and the mashed plantain chips were dark, overcooked and didn’t go well with the ceviche.
My daughter ordered the roasted chicken and she didn’t like it being dark, overcooked and overpowered with lime either. Maybe it was the grease they cooked with was too dark. Otherwise the staff was nice. We were expecting better from a new restaurant but it was lackluster and hopefully they will improve.

Zakes cafe is a really cute restaurant that appears to be an old house. They serve breakfast and lunch. I’ve been there several times and the food has always been delicious. This last time I had a tuna melt, my friend had the duck tacos. Both were delicious. I’ve also had eggs and omelets and they were very good. Service is great and if you are with other people they offer separate checks.

The moment we walked in, there was a table already setup for 2 and a highchair. I’m not sure if they saw us walking up or what, but I was wowed by it.
The pumpkin pancakes were the best pumpkin pancakes I’ve had in a long time and their jumbo lump crab Benedict was spectacular. And the home fries!!! So, so good.
Very friendly staff and speedy service. We recently moved to the area and we noted this place down as a go-to brunch spot!

My husband and I were in town for a concert, but this was near where I grew up. We met old, good friends at Zakes for breakfast. The menu looked so good I had trouble making up my mind. Omelet? Or pancakes? Or French toast?
I was assured everything is great. I think so! But need to return again soon to make sure.
I had an omelet with spinach, caramelized onions, tomatoes, ask for: fresh, nothing too old, for: blackberries, blueberries, cut up strawberries. and cheddar cheese as well as a fresh fruit salad. The fruit was everything you could wish for: blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries. Bananas? Not sure. But I do remember how fresh everything was and how succulent.
The only meh part was the toast. The choice was white or wheat, and it came from a supermarket somewhere. It wasn't bad in any way, but to keep up the rest of the food, I could have expected something extraordinary, like brioche or challah or soda bread.
Other than that, I I found this place extraordinary.
PS, one more thing: For the love of Webster, please put a comma between d 6th

Delicious food and great dessert. But
Carrot ginger soup, salmon LT sandwich and a Zakes Tea = a total treat. Service good and staff friendly. One of my wife’s favorites, and she’s right!
Food was very good and the place is very cute. Service seemed a bit rushed when the place want very crowded.
Eh. It was ok. It's nice they have gluten free pancakes but they were eh. The house made caramel was a nice touch but it was kind of plain. I added a little salt to it and it tasted way better. I think it was a little pricey for what you got. Overall, I could take it or leave it.
Such a fun place for brunch. The Crab Benedict, duck quesadilla, mascarpone pancakes, and mango calamari salad were all top-notch. Coffee was good and the desserts speak for themselves.
