I was having such a challenging day and was met with more compassion and understanding than I was ready for. There was a consistent flow of customers both indoors and at the drive thru. From what I can tell there were 3 staff members present that I could tell. Kennedi gave a warm welcome, an honest smile of understanding and showered me with kindest despite how busy it was.

I had a some personal hardship going on and it must have shown all over my face.
Despite the rush of all the demands of a busy morning, Kennedi multi-tasked and supported me immediately. I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy.

“I grew up on homemade Middle Eastern food made daily by my parents, so I’m very picky when it comes to authenticity. I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. The meat is 100% Halal and you can taste the quality. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. **This is the kind of spot you want to support. “My husband and I went to Meadowlark Bakery and Cafe this morning after learning that they hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for those who needed a place to go. We try to support places that support those in the community and do good. We’ve been there before for coffee and pastries, which are amazing, but we never had any other food. We have been missing out! We both got a breakfast sandwich and they were amazing! My biscuit was light and buttery, our eggs were perfectly fried, and both sandwiches had generous amounts of breakfast meat and came with tots. They had a wonderful Santa for the kids and a nice warm enclosed area for eating. Meadowlark, thank you for being a part of our community and helping those in need. It does not go unnoticed and we will absolutely be back to support you, your business, delicious food, and the good you are doing!”

“This bakery is the cleanest bakery I have ever walked in. It is so homey inside and you can tell they care about their customers. I travel 30 minutes to come here and it is well worth the drive!”

“My girlfriend and I came to Nam Vang Restaurant for the first time. We’ve always gone to the grocery store next door and noticed how busy this restaurant usually is, so we finally decided to give it a try. It definitely did not disappoint. The restaurant may look a little dated from the outside and is easy to miss if you’re simply walking by, but once inside, we found it to be clean, welcoming, and full of friendly staff.

Atmosphere -
The restaurant looks somewhat dated from the outside, but the inside is surprisingly clean and comfortable. It has a simple, traditional feel without trying to be overly fancy. They also sell a variety of drinks, desserts, and smoothies, which is a nice bonus.

Service -
The owners and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They made good recommendations and were more than happy to accommodate us. When I initially ordered the dry version of the Hu Tieu Nam Vang with egg noodles, I really enjoyed it but wanted to try it with broth as well. The staff were happy to provide me with extra broth, which I really appreciated.

What We Ordered -
-Hu Tieu Nam Vang with Egg Noodles (Dry) - Absolutely delicious. The dry version was flavorful and had a great balance of ingredients.
-Hu Tieu Mi Nam Vang (Dry) - Also delicious. Another great combination of flavors and textures.
-Pickled Spicy Peppers - These were a great addition to the meal. They added a nice kick without leaving that lingering spicy heat that you sometimes get from chili peppers.

Final Thoughts -
I'm glad we finally decided to give Nam Vang Restaurant a try after seeing it packed so many times. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the overall experience was excellent. The restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but don't let that fool you. We would definitely come back again and try more of the menu.”

“It is rare for a brewpub to have vegan food, and I echo what others here have said about the quality and options. Owners are vegan and seemingly intend this to be sort of a vegan place with meat options without making it obvious, lol. Most pizzas can be made vegan, and the mushroom one comes drizzled with a black garlic aioli made with vegan mayo (I asked). Their flagship West Coast IPA is to die for. And the roasted broccoli appetizer was divine. Definitely a place to return to many times. The building is a former horse stable attached to a market, and we mistakenly went into the market first, but the pub is actually between the hotel and the market. Plenty of outside seating, not so much inside, so make a reservation. We went for lunch when it was not as busy. Very friendly cool staff. There is even a beignet sundae dessert with soy vanilla ice cream available. Free parking lot. What a beautiful Philadelphia town. Updated from previous review on 2026-07-31”
