“Unique menu here! I had a donut with ice cream. It's cool how you can mix an additional flavor into the soft serve ice cream. Gelati was also delicious. Prices very reasonable.”

“I used to stop here over the years for a slice. Haven’t stopped in a while. I was Looking for where to get food from and I see Rosario’s had some great reviews. It was always good but people were saying it was a new owner and the pizza was great. The same employee was always behind the counter when I used to go there, happy and smiling every time which was part of the reason I would stop there. I was really hoping that guy took over since he was there so much you would have thought he owned the place. I was glad to see he now owns the place ! Pizza is improved! I only got a medium pie but it was great. He also mentioned they have tacos and gyros as well now. I’ll be back to explore the menu and definitely for some more great pizza! Check it out if you’re in the area. They spruced up the inside a bit and it feels more open and clean now.”

“I am the traveler. Unfortunately this place only takes cash, it looks like a nice little neighbourhood bar. But since I travel I don’t carry cash. I gave five stars because they already poured me a beer and did not charge me because I don’t carry cash. Very friendly. Place wish I could have tasted the food. Thank you for the beer.”

“Usually I like to order pork fried for my family and I, it always comes out incredible and is absolutely worth it to buy. It reheats greatly, it tastes great, and it’s extremely reliable. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for good Asian-style food. I can’t wait to go back!”

“The food was spectacular, the beef stir fry they have (which I was skeptical of when my family ordered, sounded good but sorta basic) was my favorite dish of this year and last year, it was sooooo good!!! It was incredibly flavorful and so tender.To top that off the owner was walking around the room, charming folks and checking in, all the service felt attentive but not invasive or overbearing, I felt incredibly respected and appreciated while there. I told them it was my parent’s wedding anniversary and they complimented them on it multiple times, all of the staff suddenly knew and they got a free appetizer to congratulate them. It really was a special experience from start to finish. I don’t go to a lot of fine dining but I expected the portions to be tiny and the atmosphere to be haughty, it was not! Very bubbly and fun atmosphere, good spacing between our table and others, the portions were perfect and the kitchen was a machine with cranking out spectacular dish after spectacular dish! I am moving out of town soon, but I would come back and eat here as a special event. It was really that good.My knowledge of Thai food is limited to pad Thai and Tom Yum, this experience has made me want to try more Thai food and branch out!”

“1. The food is delightful and worth the try.2. Drinks were pretty good, especially for non coffee drinkers.3. For the Banh Mi and Sando, the bread was crisp and airy. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The Sando has an onion aioli that is slightly overpowering (for my personal preference).4. The service was nice and friendly.5. The atmosphere is very homey and welcoming. Nice place eat and hang out with your friends and family.”

Bonus points for being incredibly family friendly- we were offered a high chair right away when we entered, and everyone on staff was extremely kind and sweet with our one year old daughter. “Really cool bar to drink local spirits. The bartenders were super nice and let us try a couple different things we were interested in. Cocktails were really good. I would definitely go back. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was super chill but I can imagine that it gets really noisy as soon as it fills up. Also you can bring your own food, since they don’t have a kitchen, so that’s really cool!”

“I would give 6 stars if I could!!! Such a great addition to Havertown! The food is delicious, love the vibe and the service is amazing!!! The pineapple express wings were AMAZING! I saw some instagram stories saying to get them and our server Marissa (who was the sweetest by the way) sealed the deal by saying awesome they were- she was right!!! I am not a huge wing person and could have eaten 20 of them! The guac is so good and fresh; served with warm chips. My husband and I both got fajitas- shrimp and steak, soooo good! Also the cucumber marg was great, strong (not mad about that) and delicious! Adding this in because my husband is a huge sports guy- the Phillies ended and within minutes they put on March Madness games- no awkward gap where you're watching infomercials for hours (it is his pet peeve haha). So happy that Al Pastor is in town! Can't wait to return!”

I would recommend if you like pound cake you give this place a try you won't be disappointed the only thing I can complain about I guess is the price $17 bucks for a pound cake is nuts but it does weigh like 4lbs it's so heavy it's deff worth a try in my opinion not something you get all the time but for sure worth a try once in a while.”

“This place has been on my list for some time and I was fortunate to visit at a downtime. Amongst a city full of pizza shops, Down North stands out among the greats. ENVIRONMENT The restaurant is relatively easy to find and seats no more than 5 or so people in the shop. The wait was a tad excessive which I credited to the food being "made with love". FOOD I love a good piece of focaccia! Another contributor commented that their pizza can be likened to focaccia which I would find to be incredibly accurate. The "Detroit" style was incredibly flavorful accompanied by a heaping of toppings(I settled on the "I'm A Boss"). I will admit the fries left a bit much to be desired but not enough to influence my rating. If you're based anywhere in North Philly between Farimount and Erie Ave, I can confidently say Down North is among the top three picks for the area. Happy eating!”
