I had the fish Tacos, they were great! The flavor was awesome. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and hard working!
Went twice when Dusters sold to the new owners and extremely disappointed. Since its been so long decided to try it again. Service wasn't great and neither was the food. Won't be back. Unfortunate because its a a great location.
Every Friday 6 to 9 musical entertainment and food specials are available.
Great good, Great service. Bartender was super friendly. Went for lunch and will be back! I had the chicken soup & chicken sammich. Delicious!
Menu is limited but good. Some daily specials. Service is good. Great easy going atmosphere.

Ask for a Long Island iced tea. Was brought one and was very surprised that there was barely any liquor in it. I asked for another one and asked them to actually put some liquor in it this time. When he came back to check on us. I asked him how much liquor he put in. He said he was trained to only put a quarter of a shot of each of the five clear liquors that are in a Long Island iced tea. He did however say that the second one I ordered he put a half a shot glass in of each of the five clear liquors.
I'm sorry, I call BS if I'm going to pay for Long Island iced tea, I should be entitled to get at least 3/4 of a shot glass of each of those clear liquors in a Long Island iced tea. ( Like all restaurants do)
Beware buying liquor at this restaurant You're not getting a full shot glass let alone maybe even a half.
I won't be back because of this !
Lost my business, and I won't be telling anybody else to visit here.
So disappointed.

Went there to see Appalachian Honey with a large group. All the food was awesome, pulled pork nachos stole the show. Highly recommend, especially for live music. Well done RF.

Service was terrible. Food was ok at best. Arrived at restaurant at approximately 7:00 pm. Waited at bar for 5 minutes before bartender came out of kitchen and stated “Sit anywhere you like.” People at 3 tables in dining area, 3 people at bar and 1 table occupied outside. Asked bartender if we could sit outside to which he responded “Sure I’ll be out immediately with a table cloth.” After 15 minutes waitress came out and said”Sorry I didn’t know anyone was out here I’ll get you a tablecloth.” Mind you there were diners already outside. She asked us if we wanted anything to drink and we ordered cocktails. After another 15 minutes we got our drinks finished those drinks as we waited for our order but no waitress to ask if we wanted another. So we went inside to order our drinks “Sangria smoothie and another bottle of beer.” To which bartender said “this will be quick.” 10 minutes later we received “our quick drinks.” All along I kept thinking to myself are there people I can’t see, there’s no one here why is it taking so long to get anything. We both ordered the brushetta chicken. After another 45 minutes we received our warm to cool dinner of non cooked beans, warm mash potatoes and cold chicken with tons of garlic piled on the chicken. By this time on a Saturday we are the only people in the restaurant. I ask the waitress “is there a party going on in the building ?” To which she responds “I don’t think so.” Trying to figure out why service is so bad with no one there. Take it for what it’s worth although the food is priced well you can get a better meal at Sheetz or Eat n Park. I’ll never go back. And by the look of dining room on a Saturday night a lot of people thinking same thing.

My wife and I had Lunch there today … Sara our server was her 1st day on the job so wanted to give her kudos how well she handled the crowd … had great lunch… tried the pulled pork and Mac cheese… it was plentiful and delicious…. Finished up with deep fried Oreo.. yum yum…Don’t forget deep fried Zucchini.. for a light starter…. Good job to all staff!!
I had my bridal shower here this past weekend! The space is huge and has a lot of room for setup and decorating, bathrooms are very nice and easily accessible as well. The manager, Kyle, was helpful throughout the entire process. We were even able to go in the night prior and set up a flower wall, which was incredibly helpful! Everything turned out amazing! The food was delicious, and despite being short staffed that day, Kyle and another employee Calvin, were so attentive to us during my entire shower! Kyle addressed each table of guests and Calvin made sure no one went without a mimosa 😊 I highly recommend River Forest for events and dinner in their dining area that is open to the public!
I was at River Forest Country Club this past weekend. I was setting up a large balloon design for a bridal shower and not one, but two different staff members came out to ask if I needed a drink. I'm not a member and was simply there working. That small gesture was so appreciated though and it doesn't happen often. I just wanted to say thanks. Kyle and the rest of the staff were so attentive, pleasant with the bride to be and her family. The event space was gorgeous and from what I saw for the short time I was there was that the staff really seemed to go above and beyond.
It took an hour for two appetizers then another hour for food that was burnt and one taco had three little steak pieces on it not worth it
