“Ordered a 50 year anniversary cake for boyfriend's parents. The buttercream was perfect, not too sweet, just perfect. I requested 4 layers white almond flavor and chocolate, with raspberry filling between each of the layers. Many people stated it was amazingly delicious! HIGHLY RECOMMEND SWEET LAYERS!”

There’s a wide variety of dishes on the menu, and each dish that we had received was well presented and tasted amazing!!Staff is very friendly, and it is a welcoming, clean environment!They change up the drink menu and course menu every couple months to make sure you can try different things.They also have Trivia every Tuesday night at 7 which is a good turn out and super fun! The whole restaurant gets involved while dinning!Fridays they have live music with different specials and it is so nice to dine while listening to live music!I 100% recommend dining at river first!They have a golf simulator too for you to check out, super cool!”

“We Finally made it after seeing all the post online. Would first like to say the staffing was amazing in answering any questions prior to ordering also letting us sample the brisket before adding It to the burger ( it was excellent ). The dry rub ribs and homemade BBQ Sauce is BY FAR the best I’ve had anywhere in PA or in my life actually. It wasn’t until we were leaving we found out the staff( Kenya , Marquis and Nigeria ) were not part of the ownership . That’s how much pride and they took into the establishment ( hard to find now a days )…So the owner did great choosing his staffing !. Between the service and food we will gladly be spending our hard earned money here over and over again ..Place is a hidden gem in a small town that people need to make the trip for .. You won’t be disappointed”

“My fiancé and I just left here and we are in a food coma! All around such a great experience! The staff was super friendly and the cook was super awesome and loaded up our plates. This is one of the only sit down restaurants that I know of that are open until midnight on a Saturday night. Very impressed!”

“I’ve been here several times and have never been disappointed! The food is some of the best Italian in Pittsburgh! We always order the gnocchi with blush sauce and always appreciate how perfectly done the gnocchi is (never mushy or overdone) as well as the T-bone steak which is always made PERFECTLY! We were more than impressed. Jillian's can compete with some of the best restaurants in Shadyside and downtown Pittsburgh.The menu was exceptional. “Osaka was a very pleasant experience. Service was outstanding and very attentive. The menu was extensive with so much variety to choose from. Gen Tso's (white meat) chicken was superb as was the Hibachi chicken. Their Yum Yum sauce was excellent (yummy). Great California roll. “Any time of day, if Glen's is open there is a line for custard because the locals know how good it is. The apple cobbler with warm vanilla custard is a favorite as is the chocolate banana shake. Love that they have both think and thin options for the shakes. Wish they had a malt option, but that is being nit-picky.”

If you have a hankering for a Pittsburgh style fish sandwich, this is the place to visit if you pass by.Friendly folks, warm atmosphere, and great beers and outstanding fish sandwiches.Ordered two fish sandwiches three quarters pound of fish on each sandwich(you will not be hungry after eating those of these) and there’s definitely enough left over for a third. Served steaming hot, crisp batter, and tender fish on a fresh hoagie bun. Tartar sauce was very tasty as well - with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and yes a strong dash of hot sauce. Definitely got my fried fish fix (5 out of 5). If were to provide any critique maybe the bun could have been toasted a bit more to hold up to the condiments - however, while a bit challenging to manage eating like a sandwich, entire time I was eating the sandwich I had a big smile on my face. Will be back again for the fish!!! …. And maybe the sample a few other things. ( the pictures do not accurately capture the size and make it look a bit smaller that it actually is )Outstanding beer selection, see picture for the entire menu - I sampled the Troeg’s Grand Cacao Stout and was happy I did.Highly recommend this place. “Remember, they are a cash only restaurant but so worth a trip. The pancakes are so big and fluffy, you only need 1 or 2. I loved the grilled chicken sandwich and delicious home fries. My son said his club sandwich was also yummy. Our server was great too. We will be back soon.”

“Ended up in this small town outside of Pittsburgh for a concert im working at and was looking for breakfast and stumbled upon this place. Was greeted and sat down immediately by a very nice young lady. Coffee was hot and tasty, and I decided to order a standard breakfast plate (Eggs, Sausage, Home fries and toast.) I opted for the Syrian bread toast, which I've never had but wanted to try. You can tell this a family owned business and the clentel feel like regulars. Food came out and to my surprise the sausage were patties and they were delicious, also the home fries were cooked well with crispy outside and soft inside. The Syrian toast was excellent and with the coffee it only cost me about $12 which these days is a bargain.Great good, cool vibe, and excellent service. Thanks Eazers!”
