I don't plan ahead for my Doughnut (Donut) cravings and I tried to make Curiosity Doughnuts a regular stop but after striking out on vegan options after multiple visits, I finally gave up. I spoke with the owners who were always very friendly and apologetic. I said if you are consistently running out of vegan doughnuts, why not make more! but they only make what they make in a given day and when they are out, they're out. Their vegan offerings were excellent, when they have them. I've tried the Plain glazed, Chocolate glazed, Pineapple frosted, Mocha frosted and a Cinnamon & Sugar and a few others. All are moist, delicious and sweet, while not being over-the-top sweet. In the shop there are no labels on any of the donuts behind the glass counter which can slow down the ordering process when busy. You have to wait for one of the staff to tell you what each one is, in a somewhat noisy working environment. Labels would go a long way in my opinion. By looking at the doughnuts you can tell which ones are vegan, so if you are in line there's no way too see if any vegan doughnuts are available unless you wait. As a regular visitor to Seattle OR where they have Mighty-O's Donut shops, which is a donut shop chain that does not advertise as being a completely vegan shop but in fact it is, I know it's possible to make all types of donuts using completely vegan ingredients where no one can tell the difference. Last month while I was there, a bunch of burly construction workers came in for donuts and coffee. I could hear them loving the donuts. If Mighty-O's were labeled as a "vegan donut shop" they probably would have never set foot in the place but to them it was just a "normal" donut shop. There's also Vegan Treats in Bethlehem, PA that does an amazing job with vegan donuts like the Boston Creme and other standards but it's a 45min drive. Note: They label their vegan options as "Not Quite" vegan doughnuts because they are fried in the same oil as their other doughnuts. They only have one large fryer, hence the "not quite" caveat. They do not offer any gluten free options because there is no way to guarantee that they will be 100% gluten free. Same goes for tree nuts. If you have severe allergies or intolerences contact the shop before taking a bite Updated from previous review on 2023-05-05

I’ve had these donuts on 4 separate occasions. Previously all at the Whole Foods shop they used to have. Their brick and mortar is spotlessly clean, bright and enjoyable. The first three times I ate these donuts they were the best I’ve ever had. This time was no different. They are truly some of the most enjoyable donuts ever. The dough variations, the textures, the flavors are incredible. The service was kind and patient. The no labels thing is their thing, so I’m not gonna knock it but I would like to just read donut labels sometimes.

I just had one of the worst things I have ever tried to eat. Allegedly, it was a chocolat donut. I spit it out a still cant get the bad taste out of my mouth. The best part it cost me $4.19. The staff was great and knew her products. The product was just inedible, won't go back. Curious how they stay in business.

Delicious donuts! There are so many to choose from so I recommend getting the full rundown of what they have to offer before making your selection. It pays to go early for the best selection. Tried a focaccia for the first time from them and unsurprisingly it’s incredible as well.

The first bite of a freshly made cruller is what it feels like to be touched by the hand of God. Alex is one of the most genuine people I've met, whipping up generational donut (and other bakery item) concoctions that will make you say, "oh my god." The staff is friendly, patient, and always is ready to give recommendations. There are many vegan options too, which is so nice. I live 40 minutes away and a weekly trip to Curiosity Donuts is one of bliss, knowing you're so close to another life changing donut. Please go here and support this wonderful establishment.

I love this place. The donuts are amazing, so much better than the bland, boring run of the mill donuts found at other places. Staff is very curtious and patient. The lady took time to let me know what flavors were available and even though I've though I haven't been in as often as I'd like the guy making the donuts remembered my favorite blueberry and lemon flavor. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a donut.

I have never gone to write a review so fast in my life. These items from this place are life changing. The donuts will blast you with flavor and they literally melt in your mouth with a level of fluff I could only dream about. Until now. I went on wacky? Wednesday and I was so lucky. They have special menu items and this one, this cheesy boi roll thing. Amazing. Holy crap. Enough said.

Service was quick and the staff was very helpful. It is a bit overwhelming though when you first walk in. I didn’t see a menu available and doughnuts were not labeled. It was a bit hard to hear staff tell me what doughnuts are what with people chatting so that could be improved. The doughnuts were absolutely incredible!! It was about 25 dollars for 6 doughnuts but so worth it.

Some the best donuts you will ever have. The dough part of the donuts is amazing and like no other. For my taste, some of the donuts were a little sweet, but now I know for next time with what I pick, as I will be back. Just be prepared to pay the premium for the quality donuts.

Their Nearly Vegan Vanilla glazed donut is one of the best donuts I have ever had. It tastes a lot like the crescant donuts, popular a few years back. I would give the place five start, but by Happy Cow rules you can only give it to veg places. We went at 8am and there were multiple nearly vegan options. They say "nearly" vegan because they are fried in the same oil as the other donuts. My son got to raspberry lemon flavor which was also good, but I thought the vanilla was the best. There is a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. I look forward to coming back. I know I will be torn about trying new flavors versus getting that perfect Vanilla. ***They are now open on Wednesday, but don't have vegan donuts on Wednesdays*** Updated from previous review on 2024-05-12
