I attended a workshop last night to learn how to decorate cookies. I had so much fun! The teacher, Ali, was enthusiastic and communicated clearly. Her well planned instructions made learning so easy. All of the cookies and materials were provided. She also sent us home with recipes, a cookie cutter and the necessary tool that we need to decorate cookies at home. I highly recommend her classes.

As a cookie decorator hobbyist (who sadly rarely has time for her hobby anymore) I love taking classes with other cookiers to get my decorating fix, brush up on my skills… and maybe even learn a new trick or tip too. Ali’s class was one of the best that I have taken. She is a natural teacher with the most calming presence. The class was 2 hours long, and although I could have happily sat there for another hour decorating away (as I normally decorate at a snail’s pace) my friend and I never felt rushed… as we have in other classes. Her royal icing consistences were perfection, which made the icing so easy to work with, and her step by step instructions were clear and concise. She also had an assistant helping her, which I thought was wonderful considering the large group that was there, so there was never a shortage of help when someone needed it. Whether you are brand new to royal icing cookie decorating or have tons of experience, if you are looking for a fun few hours doing something creative, Ali’s classes are not to be missed!

I got some cookies.. They looked like cloud haetae, mozzarella, smoked cheese, candy diver, etc.. I also learned how cookies were made. Good thing i didnt tell my sisters about the place.. I now know what white lily cookie felt like.

Never before have i decorated cookies. But I thought they looked amazing, so why not give it a try. Ali is the perfect teacher. She provided everything you needed to get started. Her instructions were clear, and she explained everything from baking to making the different types of icing. Once decorating began, she went through everything step by step. If you're a visual person, don't worry she has photos of each step displayed the entire time. As a first-timer, I was expecting to come home with so-so cookies, but I'm actually pleased with the results. I'm not running out selling what I made in my 1st lesson, but a few more instructions from Ali's ya never know.

The Valentine’s Day cookie decorating class was so much fun. I learned so much. In fact I went out today to buy all the supplies to make and decorate cookies. The teacher Ali was so informative, she made sure everyone felt comfortable with what they were doing. She gave hints and helped talk us through what we needed to do. I would definitely take the class again. If you want to learn how to decorate cookies this is the class for you.
