Stopped in with my daughter for lunch yesterday while in town for a convention. If you're a civil war buff you will love the decor. An old field hospital turned into a distillery/brewery/restaurant. Only one staff member that we saw the whole time doing everything and she absolutely killed it. My daughter had the kids pizza. I got the chilli, brat and fries along with the house made root beer. We really enjoyed it here and definitely need to come back. Picked up a pint glass to add to the collection at home.

Perfect wedding venue! Not only is the venue, beautiful and historic the food and the ambience was great! We were planning this wedding from afar, and Justine was a perfect host and responded quickly to any request we had. She basically planned our whole wedding for us down to the cake and flowers and we couldn’t be happier. We were not working with a huge budget and they were able to accommodate our every need. We had an adorable ceremony inside the venue with dinner and reception afterwards. A full buffet with all the fixings and incredible appetizers. Everyone was not raving about the friendly staff but the spirits that were made in house. If you are looking for an affordable rustic wedding venue with homemade spirits this is the place!

My boyfriend and I went to this place 2 years ago on a trip and really enjoyed the chill ambience, the history, the staff and most of all the beers. So when we planned to go to Gettysburg this past weekend, of course this place was on our list of stops to make. However, it turned out to be a huge disappointment.I still love the historical significance of the place as it used to be a confederate hospital and the ambience of the decorations was still there as we left it. However, it felt very cold in there as the blond lady was not that friendly and yelled at us to order at the bar when we were still deciding our order. We found out that they do not brew their own beer anymore to focus on distillery but had a few flat selections of craft beer. We hardly could drink the pours they were so flat. Food was ok as we ordered the Buffalo chicken raviolis which looked liked empanadas. Overall it was just cold and the experience left us full of disappointment as 2 years ago I would have given this place a 5 star rating. Very Sad indeed.

There are many reasons to visit BBW. The venue is unique and historic. If you are a music lover, they have many opportunities to come listen. The acoustics are outstanding. The food is solid pub grub. The burgers are made with locally sourced beef and were so tasty my husband didn't even use mayonnaise. They have both wet and dry wings. The Japanese BBQ and Caribbean jerk are my new favorites. Jim and friends tried several beers and really enjoyed them. The non-alcoholic one was great! I tried a few different cocktails. The chocolate martini was dessert in a glass.

If you're looking for a relaxing spot to go after a long day at work, this is your place. Staff is friendly which contributes greatly to the warm and cozy atmosphere, and don't even get me started on the food and beer. All in all Battlefield Brew Works is THE hidden gem of Gettysburg

Place was cool. Beer was terrible. Flat and watery. Food was mediocre.

For one even before I was a Gettysburg local I supported Battlefield Brew Works and helped letting people know about it. Now that my family and I are finally Gettysburg locals we love going to have dinner and listen to live music. It’s a great place for families and friends to enjoy great drinks and food while listening to live music. For those coming to Gettysburg for trips make sure you check out Battlefield Brew Works. Oh and just for those who are veterans or active military it’s very Veteran owned.

Nice place but something is wrong with the beer. Two flights and every one of them was sour and flat, without exception. The spirits were good, stick with that.

This place is absolutely horrible. I do not recommend this place to anyone. The beers are nasty and the food establishment that was there pulled out. they had to start cooking their own food do to mice issues that the owner would not take care of.
