Food & service was wonderful. The new chef Devin was amazing!! I would recommend this place to everyone. I will be returning!!!
For the prices you are fleecing customers with, and the small portion sizes you give, I expected that the food would taste at least halfway decent. I was sorely disappointed.
Your sausage sandwich was the equivalent of an NC red hot dog, couldn't even eat 1/2 of it. And $11 for average-tasting brussel sprouts?
I know your rent must be high on that block, but the idea is to bring repeat customers in instead of charging over $60 for 3 sandwiches and 3 sides that are pretty unpalatable.
I live in Gburg, and will never spend my money there again. There are plenty other restaurants in town, with much better food. Only thing going for this place was the service, thank you for that.
Ordered 3 sandwiches to go beans and sprouts 65.00 for dried out sandwiches with hardly any meat on them and a pickled sausage that wasn't fully cooked. First time there for us and last. The only plus was the staff, they were nice Get some new cooks.
I ordered the brisket. I did not receive brisket. Instead I received two slices of roast beef with the fat cap still attached. What was supposed to be a half pound of smoked brisket was instead two thin slices of roast beef that you couldn’t make a sandwich out of. The fries were overcooked and the seasoning was burnt on. No salt, pepper, or ketchup on the table. The waitress was friendly and attentive but we were the only customers in the place. Whoever owns this place needs to spend some time in Kansas at real BBQ joints or at the very least, watch reruns of BBQ Pitmasters on TLC.
Great food, awesome service, excellent hospitality. We would personally return if in the area again.
Was not impressed at all. We ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches with fries. We also ordered the Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. I am giving them a 1 star because the Brussels sprouts were hot. Both sandwiches were ice cold. I guess they forgot to warm the meat. The Mac and cheese was not good. We ended up throwing the food away.
Extremely Disappointing and Overpriced—Not Recommended
I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience that I cannot recommend. While I understand that BBQ isn't cheap and prices have risen, the value here feels exceptionally poor.
The most glaring issue was the portion-to-price ratio. I ordered a half-pound of brisket for $18 and received just three small, thin slices—a portion that couldn't have been more than a quarter-pound. It was disheartening to see my serving was about half the size shown in photos from other reviewers. Paying $18 for that amount, plus an additional $7 for a small side of potato salad, felt less like a purchase and more like a rip-off.
Families should be especially cautious. There is no kids' menu, and with everything being strictly à la carte (no combos or meal deals available), you can expect to pay $20-$30 per child for a meal they may not even enjoy.
Ultimately, the high prices would be easier to swallow if the food was exceptional, but it simply wasn't. The overall experience was one of feeling completely overcharged for a mediocre meal.
The only positive of this entire experience was the bartender/waitress and the hostess. They were pleasant, attentive, and nice. They deserve to be working at a better establishment than this.
I hope this was an off-night for the cooks. The meat in the brisket sandwich was diced very small and just barely covered the bottom slice of the bun. The beef was fatty and lacked flavor. The half chicken was dry and lacked seasoning and BBQ sauce. This was a carryout order and the meal was hot when I arrived home, so I assume the food was pre-made and kept warm for future orders. I may have to stick with the pizza at Upper Crust.
French fries were good but the brisket was very tough. I actually couldn't eat it all. It was very disappointing.
Terrible.
Brisket was trimmed of the fat before cooked and was super dry. No good bark or flavor. There are many bbq sauce options to help, but you only get two small 1oz cups.
Chicken was burnt onto the skin. Wings and drumsticks were inedible.
Sprouts were deep fried crispy and good.
Slaw is finely diced and good.
Apple cobbler tasked like a spoonful of straight burnt cinnamon.

I took my family, 7 people, here last night. We had never been there before. Our server, Kylie, was outstanding. She is really the only reason we didn’t lose our minds over the food.
The fish in the fish & chips was very good! The fries, which we had 5 orders of, all came out different and with so much seasoning some of them we not edible. One order was supposed to be not seasoned at all for our two babies. Those had so much salt & pepper we had to get them remade our waitress even agreed when we brought it to her attention. The mac & cheese was off, I’m not sure how, but when my 2 & 3 year olds wouldn’t eat it my mom, my wife, my 13yo son and myself all tried it and everyone had the same reaction. The cheese pizza wasn’t bad however it seemed like it was primarily topped with parmesan cheese which was also odd for the children. The pulled pork sandwich was good.
The atmosphere is great and they had a whole game area with pool tables, skeeball, basket ball, shuffle board and more but oddly enough no kid’s menu.
Honestly, the food was so off we may never go back, which is sad because we prefer local restaurants and the space is really great. We live less than 30 miles away and are in Gettysburg semi often. But for that amount of money… no thank you!
