Excellent Food

Got the most amazing ribs. Brought leftovers to my dad and for someone who's not one to try new things, he devoured them. Super tender, cooked well, and the ideal amount of spice and sweet to the sauce.

$13 for a basic pulled pork and no sides...oooof.
Six friends and I went for dinner on Saturday. We arrived sounds 5pm and it wasn’t very busy yet. Took around 10-15 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. The service remained pretty awful throughout the meal. Servers were friendly enough, just not very good. The food wasn’t very good, but ok. My buddy and I shared the brisket and a rack of ribs. I wasn’t expecting amazing brisket in Pennsylvania, but this reminded me of what they used to serve us in the dining facilities at the bases in Afghanistan. The ribs were overcooked and kind of dry, but ok overall. Overall, I would not recommend this place unfortunately.

Some confusion if they where open or not. My wife ordered brisket and was told it wouldn't be ready for another hour, this was at 4:15 in the afternoon. Only have 7 items on menu and one of those is fish. Poor excuse for a downtown bbq restaurant.
Never open I went to Gettysburg few times this week and it's never been open each time I went don't matter if I got there a 11 or whenever there open or 4pm I stop by to try to give it another shot and its STILL NOT OPEN! says open on google but its literally always closed this place sucks bc I can't even come in

Zero Stars - What a Joke!
Drove all the way to borough BBQ last night, excited to try their famous Mac n Cheese pulled pork that I'd been seeing all over facebook Checked their hours online beforehand – said they were open until 10 PM. Got there at 8:30 PM, and the place was completely dark. Lights off, doors locked, nada.
Seriously, what kind of restaurant can't even keep their hours updated? Wasted my gas, my time, and my appetite on this joke of a place.

This is not a barbecue place. They serve meats (they claim are slow smoked, but were not) with sides of subpar bbq sauce. The beans were dry. Even the fries were a disappointment. They were however, very conscientious of food allergies. If you are looking for a safe place to fill your stomach, it's fine. But if you are looking for bbq, this is not that.

Restaurantji Recommends
First walked in and stood there for about 5 mins no one came so we left. Came back and was told to sit at any table. We ordered food and we waited almost an hour for our food. It was off to me because they did not seem busy. When our food finally arrived it was terrible. Mac and cheese had some seasoning that was extremely salty, the onion rings were like potato chips, coleslaw was horrible and again had some time of seasoning on it that was extremely salty. Ordered BBQ sauce with our chicken and never received that. Also I was under the impression this was a family oriented restaurant but the waitresses all had on extremely short shorts I was a little bothered seeing as how I had my children with me. We always loved coming here but the staff has changed since we last visited and I will not be going back. Also too pricey for such poor food and service.

For the prices you are fleecing customers with, and the small portion sizes you give, I expected that the food would taste at least halfway decent. I was sorely disappointed.
Your sausage sandwich was the equivalent of an NC red hot dog, couldn't even eat 1/2 of it. And $11 for average-tasting brussel sprouts?
I know your rent must be high on that block, but the idea is to bring repeat customers in instead of charging over $60 for 3 sandwiches and 3 sides that are pretty unpalatable.
I live in Gburg, and will never spend my money there again. There are plenty other restaurants in town, with much better food. Only thing going for this place was the service, thank you for that.
Ordered 3 sandwiches to go beans and sprouts 65.00 for dried out sandwiches with hardly any meat on them and a pickled sausage that wasn't fully cooked. First time there for us and last. The only plus was the staff, they were nice Get some new cooks.
I ordered the brisket. I did not receive brisket. Instead I received two slices of roast beef with the fat cap still attached. What was supposed to be a half pound of smoked brisket was instead two thin slices of roast beef that you couldn’t make a sandwich out of. The fries were overcooked and the seasoning was burnt on. No salt, pepper, or ketchup on the table. The waitress was friendly and attentive but we were the only customers in the place. Whoever owns this place needs to spend some time in Kansas at real BBQ joints or at the very least, watch reruns of BBQ Pitmasters on TLC.
