Cute little store to check out especially if you've eaten at Dobbin House. If you need souvenirs like postcards and magnets, they have a good selection for a low price. Friendly customer service and I'd highly recommend walking through here.
My husband and I always dine at Dobbin House while visiting Gettysburg, which is conveniently close to outside of Harrisburg. The food, atmosphere, and service have always been excellent. We've been coming here at least biannually since before we got married. We typically order steak and crab cakes. The entrees come with delicious homemade warm bread, side salads, and baked potatoes. However, I would NOT recommend this restaurant for families with young children. Our 9 y/o was so excited for a "fancy dinner" and got dressed up. And our 1.5 y/o was very well-behaved in her high-chair. She was occupied with books, toys, coloring, etc. But a few other patrons were visibly and audibly judgmental of us having kids there. They were also rude to our server, who was lovely. We heard them scolding her about how long it took for their wine to arrive (which wasn't long). I worked in the service industry for years so I took notice of this. I'm still recommending it, because it's not the establishment's fault, but wanted to warn other parents that this isn't a child-friendly place, and the patrons can be very uppity. I know it's considered "fine dining," but our children are well-behaved and respectful, and we still deserved a nice night out. We spent around $160 and left feeling like we weren't welcome at all on our first experience of family vacation. It was such a disappointment because we have always loved going here. It was very off-putting. I could understand if our toddler was being loud, but we know how to handle her in public, and honestly the guys who looked like they just ended a round of golf were louder than she was! I forgot to take photos because I was so annoyed by the loud remarks about us having the audacity to bring our little ones there. They still get 5 stars because every other experience we've had there as a couple has been wonderful! Just wanted to give parents notice.
Lots of nice collections to choose from..
Prices were good too!!
Exceptional atmosphere and service to go with the best crab cakes ever!!!
Typical tourist nic-naks; mostly made in china with a few “local” jams/spices. Not a bad place to walk through while waiting for your table to open at the tavern.
We had a wonderful experience at the Dobbin house. We were sat downstairs which is full of history and has a true historical vibe. MIke was our waiter and he was great. We highly recommend.
Springhouse Tavern: The casual, atmospheric below-ground Springhouse Tavern at the Dobbin House is our favorite restaurant in Gettysburg. Whenever we visit Gettysburg, this is the one restaurant where we must dine. Its food quality, hospitality and authentic historic environment are consistently wonderful no matter how much time has passed. This time we were here with friends. We enjoyed cocktails on their outside patio while waiting for our table. The service and hospitality on the patio as well as in the Springhouse Tavern was efficient, delightful and helpful. The food was delicious, as always. The crab cake was especially delicious. This place is timeless Gettysburg. ACCESSIBILITY: This is a 248-year-old building on the National Register of Historic Places; needless to say, there isn’t a ramp or elevator to the below-ground Springhouse Tavern. However, other than a couple steps at the top and bottom, the stairs have railings on both sides, the step height is moderate, and the walls are close enough to put a hand on if needed. Even though I have mobility limitations, I was able to access the underground tavern. Once downstairs, there was adequate space for me to get around with my walker.
We absolutely loved coming here for lunch while visiting! I loved the little gift shop, and the atmosphere was incredible. Definitely returning next year. ❤️
Beautiful day to sit outside last weekend, got the kings French onion soup. Was good but had no beef in it like listed. Both my husband and I got it, neither had beef, was a let down but other than that was good. Crab dip was also yummy ,
Impressive atmosphere for dining in the basement lit by candles and subtle lanterns. The food was delicious and there were several spirits available. Excellent place to dine. We ate lunch there on Saturday.

Extremely helpful and cheerful staff. They made our stay special in so many ways. Thank you for your hospitality!
Ladies at the store were not the friendliest but our waiter Shaun was great!!! Peanut butter porter was amazing!
Very nice shop and so much to choose from
Honestly, a very nicely designed store. However, the people working behind the counter, not so nice.
Cute store with lots to offer. We really liked the signs in there and had fun reading all of them. We ended up buying one that fit our family. But they had some candy and some sauces that looked awesome. Definitely worth a stop if you are walking through the area.
