Good service & good hostess. Very friendly & attentive. Good food but mine cooled off too fast. Great response to my concern, to make it right,
The service was excellent. Nick took good care of us. I explained my dietary restrictions , and received all my food without any issues. Definitely will be stopping in for another Delmonico at the Dunlap the next time we are passing through Gettysburg.
Dietary restrictions: The Dunlap restaurant gets an A++ for preparing my Delmonico perfectly and flawlessly. My server Nick was polite and understood that I needed my steak prepared without butter. I got exactly what I asked for. The steak was excellent.
Food very good. Good portions. Prices reasonable. Menu variety very good (except no fried chicken). Server was adequate. He was Attentive but not sociable. Could smile more and be more personable. I tried to engage him to no avail. He was quite young though so perhaps he needs to gain confidence. Service a bit slow, especially just to get an appetizer. Maybe they are short on help like so many places now. A step above a typical diner. I would return.
Parking: Adequate on site.
Service was great! Food was good. Got seated right away at our reservation time.
I don't like to leave negative reviews but, sorry to say the food just isn't as good as it used to be. We usually go here or to the Lincoln diner for breakfast (hotel breakfast not my thing) when in town but the last couple times it wasn't at all good. They are probably like everyone else and can't get enough help but making bacon and eggs isn't that hard.
I went to Dunlap's today for the first time during my visit in Gettysburg and I was IMPRESSED! We were greeted and seated immediately. Drinks were served instantly within 5 minutes from when we placed the order. Food was served in about 15 - 20 minutes. Michelle was on top of her game she was very attentive active and friendly. I had ordered the veggie omelet and it was spectacular! I felt as if I am at home enjoying a very delicious meal away from home.Overall experience:Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices, decent food and affordable prices. Dunlap's is a must stop while in Gettysburg.
I wish I could be writing a good review about Dunlaps but unfortunately what I experienced cannot be tolerated. We have been to Dunlaps in the past for dinner with no issues but this time when we visited Gettysburg we noticed they serve breakfast and decided to go...big mistake. We get seated with no issue and the waitress was pretty quick with getting our drinks and taking our order but then we started to see how overwhelmed she was. She tried giving us a receipt that wasn't ours knowing we haven't gotten our food yet. Then she proceeds to try and give change to a gentleman who just recently sat down and obviously it wasn't his, just very overwhelmed. Guests kept coming in and one by one they just got up and left because they weren't getting waited on. Finally the restaurant manager told the hostess not to sit anyone in this particular section because they noticed people had been leaving! meanwhile we are still there and STILL waiting. You would think the manager would have come over to us knowing there was an issue with the section we were sitting in but nobody ever came. When all was said and done we were there for over an hour. Great prices for the food but service was a real issue.
We wanted to like it. We ordered the fried seafood platter, pot roast It just wasn’t good, the crab cake was not edible, the cod, shrimp and scallops had to have been frozen and reheated, even the fries were bad. I don’t recommend
This is absolutely the worst food I’ve eaten. I can pretty much eat anything but there was not one thing about this meal that was good and my husband felt the same way. I don’t know how you can ruin corn muffins and chili, but they were atrocious. So was the stuffing with the roast beef. The mashed potatoes were horrid. I wish we had walked out when it took over 15 minutes to get waited on.
Took our daughter here for breakfast. Had heard that this place serves the best breakfast in Gettysburg. Those reviews were spot on. We sat down and very shortly our server came over to get our order. Less than 10 minutes later, each one of our breakfasts had come out exactly how we ordered them. French toast, eggs, omelettes, freshly made and delicious. Simple and yummy. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Value for what we ordered...OUTSTANDING. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast when in Gettysburg. Just a couple of blocks west of the central square.

Soup needs to be hot! It was warm. We both had beef barley. It was delicious, but needed to be hot. In addition, Amount of my pot roast was less than desirable. In all, there were 5 fork-fulls. Again, was very tasty and tender, but extremely small amount for the price. The stuffing beside it made it look like the plate was full, but the meat amount should've been more. The same with the meatloaf. Only 1 slice? It was priced as a dinner portion- should've been at the least 2 slices! We enjoy coming to Dunlap's and will be back. Just giving our constructive thoughts.
Fabulous service, the waiter was very nice. Drinks came immediately after we ordered them. Food came 20 minutes later. Very great service and the food was good. Due to the economic inflation, the portions are a lot smaller and that's what is really holding this place back. Food quality is worth the price but quantity is lacking.
Excellent breakfast- tremendous value ! .... we both had bacon/ eggs/home fries/toast/coffee- prepped perfectly- nice atmosphere- server Brianna was very pleasant and attentive.....prob will be our go-to when in Gettysburg..........
Environment is decorated nicely, employees are very nice but I'd ask for Allison personally as your waitress. She was on top of her game and very attentive to our table. Food was delicious......the cheese sticks were so good. Prices are very reasonable.
Great place, really enjoyed the dinner we had there. I got the rib dinner and it was to much to finish at the restaurant. The rest of the food we ordered was great as well. Wasn't real busy when we went that day. Service was good and prompt.
