Always good food. We've been there for dinner several times at various times of the year. It can get busy and overloaded after 6, so come about 4:30 to avoid crowds or long waits. My favorite is the Ulster Fry...cooked to perfection and a perfect sized portion
The shepherd pie was the single best thing I ate during my entire trip to town. The wait was long, but boy was that amazing. People are very nice here

We did the high tea event. We enjoyed it. Rated service and food as 4 star only because it wasn't the usual restaurant food and service - once each table was served its course there was little need for a server to return.

This is an amazing place to stop and have a Guinness with a bite to eat. They have an extensive menu with something for everyone. We got the Reuben Sandwich and the fish and chips. We finished our visit with a skillet cookie. ?They have live music, a fully stocked bar, and plenty of seating. Don’t sleep on this place!Parking: You may have to walk to the restaurant when you find parking. It’s worth it though!

Decent music and atmosphere but rude and slow bar staff. Avoid.
Chicken wings were top notch. Atmosphere was inviting. I ate in the bar and so had to order from the bartender. She ignored me completely for many minutes while she did everything, including washing all the dishes, but finally she grudgingly took my order. I suggest you wait for a table in the service area.

Stopped in for a quick dinner before heading home, the food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. Great selection of Irish Whiskey. We will have to come back and try a few more.

Used to love the house Guinness Onion Soup, however they changed the recipe and that selection was horrible. Not much cheese, horrible bread and too peppery for my taste. Service was also very slow today. The entire party enjoyed their lunches and the Guinness was above average

As locals, we try to frequent the local small business restaurants every once in a while. We don't get out often with a toddler but we're passing through downtown Gettysburg and my husband wanted to go to Garryowen's. We were really looking forward to our appetizer but our food was brought out 30 minutes after we ordered. I said we never got our appetizer to the staff and our server came back and said it was his fault but the order was in now. By the time we finished our meals, the appetizer came out. It's was less than stellar and we had to rush through it because of the toddler's impending meltdown past bedtime. When we got the check, we were charged for the appetizer. This would have been fine had we gotten it ahead of time but we never would have ordered it after our meals had we known we were going to be charged for it. We didn't even want it at that point but thought they were just bringing it as a courtesy. The server was too busy to flag down to ask about it so we left cash for the bill and left before seeing anyone. This is the second time in a row we've had not great service and will probably not be revisiting in the near future. Also another suggestion, perhaps a different take home container for the shepherd's pie is in order. The boxes don't keep the liquid contained very well.

Nice little Irish pub and lounge. Bangers and mash were delicious (maybe consult your doctor first). Most importantly, they served the best pulled pint of Guinness that I've tasted in the US in 31 years of living here, and I'm from Dublin. My only complaint is that they served it to my wife, who had spotted how good they looked. In fairness, I wouldn't have believed it could be as good as it looked, and I generally don't order Guinness in the US for the reasons above.I won't miss a chance to check their consistency the next time they I make it to Gettysburg.
