Incredible, meticulously take care of, charming little Victorian getaway. Detail of thought the thought and care in every corner is truly amazing. Somebody that truly cares about the building and what they do. When I lived in Ireland, we live in an old Victorian home that was built in the early 1800s. There's nothing else quite like this in Gettysburg. Indoor dining is fine dining with white tablecloth, real candle tapers, your table set in a private alcove of period-perfect rooms like the library or den. The chef Karl is wonderful! This is an ideal place for a leisurely or romantic dinner. No fast food here. In the summer there is casual dining on the back deck. My favorite dishes are the salmon and the pasta with clam sauce. That is absolutely addictive!
Gettysburg is blessed with many restaurants for the size of its population but not so blessed that many of them cater to tourists. Tourists frequently are one-time customers so, what pleases a tourist might not please a local.
