Hunt's Battlefield Fries

We stumbled upon this place walking by. we had the bacon cheese fries and I would have to say they are one of the best I've ever had no skimping on the topping. definitely be back to order more things.

Chicken cheesesteak- salty; Fries - warm, limp (didn’t care for them). Beyond a dive. Wouldn’t recommend.

This place doesn't welcome or serve people who don't look like them. We ordered our food, then were left sitting for half an hour while everyone else who came after us got served. The waitress tried to convince us that everyone else came before us, and then kept assuring us that our food was coming right out. After 45 minutes, we left.

Hunt's Battlefield Fries is a popular eatery located on Steinwehr Avenue in Gettysburg with great food and friendly staff in a comfortable atmosphere.
Unfortunately however the owner is planning on retiring and interested buyers of Hunt's Battlefield Fries want to change the place deviating from the food menu and decor which has made it such a popular Gettysburg fixture for many years.
Fans of Hunt's Battlefield Fries would love whoever is to buy the place to keep it as it is and not change anything .

Don’t let the outside fool you. We almost missed it walking by. The inside can be overwhelming if you have never been there before like us but well worth it. The food is amazing! The cheesesteak is easily one of the best ones I’ve ever have. The fries were so delicious too. Staff seemed a bit short when asking questions. If I’m the area again I will definitely be back for more or the cheesesteaks!

Stopped in today for dinner with friends, ordered cheeseburger sub and fries, when you order most places give you lettuce onion and tomato wow I was disappointed, when I didn't get any of that on my sub or did they mention if I wanted it or not, fries were not done. It was $9.50 for just the sub..not good

Really good food for what kind of food they have there store it’s a unique store. Customer service was very nice they took the order and brought out the food instead of making you wait for it in a line. There prices are affordable too.

Had the Cheesesteak sandwich and it was by far the best I have ever had. Way better the the cheesesteaks in Philadelphia. We ate there the second day of our trip. And had the chili dogs and fries. Simply wonderful. Sad he will be retiring at the end of this year.
