This use to be my go to place before the remodel. They had a great menu and the best steak when it was available. I recently went and was not impressed. The server I had you could smell her perfume from a mile away. The menu seemed limited and they ran out of the cider I always order so I had to buy my own 6 pack. Ended up getting a smash burger and it was good. Probably won't be back until I see a better menu. The picture of the steak is what I had before the remodel.

It is wonderful. Place to go to great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent customer service. And not only that, we were also there for the pink dog animal rescue fundraiser and bake
sale. So not only did we eat delicious meals, we also had a tasty treat on the way out to help support such a worthy cause. Thanks again, will be back!

AC broke and has been for a week. It was so uncomfortable in there we waited to have a drink to cool down before ordering. There is zero atmosphere. No music. Dead for a Saturday evening on a holiday weekend. It's like dining in an empty warehouse, you could literally hear the crickets outside. The staff seemed unorganized. It was awkward. We had our drinks and ate elsewhere.

Food was decent.

Air conditioning was broken and dining room a little warm.

Service a little slow as there was nearly one staff person per customer.

Not many vegetarian options anymore. My partner got a honey crisp cider, and it smelled like eggs. They kindly replaced it, but it was strange that it happened. Pizzas were light on top, burnt on bottom, and peppers uncooked. It was just fine. Mela was better, but the ciders are overall still just as good.

Closed!

Mela's Kitchen is close and has been rebranded Core.

The food at the new location is lacking from the previous quality at this time.

Atomic Dog is still the great same cider.

Great stop! We sat at the bar, Michael was our server. He was nice and engaging. Had great recommendations for food & cider (I highly recommend the honey crisp and fireside man those were good) . The cider flight is the way to go to try 4 different flavors. My Coworker had the crispy chicken sand, which was great and I had a maragita pizza, it hit the spot! No complaints here. If I was in the area longer I'd went back a second time.

This was our first visit and won't be our last. I was a big fan of Jack's Hard Cider so had to support the new brand. The service was top notch thanks to our waitress Katelyn. I wanted a flight of hard cider but not the normal ones. She knew what each of them were and recommended her favorites. She did not disappoint. The crab pretzel was very good. We also got a Buffalo chicken pizza that was tasty. We are not local but will be back.

We have visited this restaurant in the past before it was rebranded from Mela to The Core. At that time, maybe less than a year ago, it was actually pretty nice. This trip however was so disappointing. The service was oddly over-solicited upon entry, and contrary to the menu advertised on the website, it was only going to be a brunch service - “Welcome to brunch” (at 4.15pm) was yelled at us as we entered - fine! The menu was very limited and I have no problem with that once everything advertised is done well. This was sadly not to be the case. My husband ordered the breakfast pizza which was good. Not great, but not terrible either. He ordered an original Atomic cider to accompany this and proclaimed it to be very good. I ordered the breakfast bowl (polenta, two eggs, tomato). It was pretty bad. The eggs were ‘maybe’ the only redeeming part of this entire offering. The polenta was bone dry and there was really far too much of it. The “tomato” was, well, I’m not really sure what that was (was it fresh tomato stewed in pizza sauce? No idea) - beyond a taste, I didn’t eat it. I had a glass of wine, which was actually pretty good, however it was served in a well finger printed brandy snifter, which was not good. We did not stay for dessert or coffee. My husband and I concluded that, this once lovely establishment, had lost its way. And it’s such a pity because it is in a great location with excellent parking. It seemed to us that whomever was doing the “cooking” had lost their passion. The service was provided by someone calling themselves an assistant manager, who though very sweet, was somewhat laissez faire in the managerial sense. We got a general sense that this place is getting ready to close or perhaps once again rebrand. Such a pity.

New owner and it shows. Excellent food, delicious cider, and friendly service. Also, I'm a pescatarian and the tuna tacos that I had were perfectly cooked. Will visit again.
