Ploughman Cider Taproom

This place specializes in dry cider. We love and prefer dry cider, so it was a perfect fit. They offer a variety to choose from, and they encouraged us to taste ones before committing to a glass of it, so that was very nice. Inside is small, but there's some seating outside too. Food offerings are sub-par, so eat before you come. They offer some food to appease PA liquor laws, but it's just some frozen stuff put into a toaster oven and that's it. They don't have a kitchen. So you don't come here for food, you come here for unique and delicious cider. The bar tender was friendly and attentive and knowledgeable about the ciders. Prices were average for the area. Nice spot for tourists or locals.

Wonderful orchard-based ciders, local beers and spirits, craft cocktails and pub fare. A warm and welcoming community gathering spot with fantastic live music indoor and outdoors on the square. Love this tap room!!

Don't host entertainment at the square and NOT have signs for areas you can't go to after patronizing your business with your drinks and send your staff out to grab the drinks out of patrons hands right in front of your establishment supporting the live music your establishment is hosting. As a local I won't be back and I certainly won't be recommending your business to friends that come to town. Must have been some reason only 7 people were out support your live music.

One of the nicest establishments I stopped in during my trip to Gettysburg. Delicious and unique ciders and super friendly people. Make this a stop on any visit!

We stopped in on a Friday evening for live music and a drink. We each had just one cider and didn’t order any food. The cider was good. I don’t remember which ones we had but one was a dry barrel aged and one was peach. The music was outside in the square so we sat outside - the band was good but you have to sit back closer to the building because of county or state alcohol laws limit open container in public I think. The outdoor seating area was nice tho. If you like cider and are visiting Gettysburg stop in.

Parking: Metered parking that was free after 8p on a Friday. Check Gettysburg parking authority for days/rates.

Go here quite often as they have live music and a great bar staff. It's small but has a stage area for music and seating for about 30. They also have an outdoor area. Serve delish meat pies if you need something to eat but is primarily a cider & beer place. Does have excellent featured coctails too!

Fantastic Ciders! I love dry ciders and they had plenty to pick from. I ordered a flight and my wife had cocktail over ice. The bar staff was lovely. The place was quiet during the day and packed at night. Got a jersey as a memento

We enjoyed a couple of flights and some snacks (hand pies and perogies) while a live band played in the background. The ciders were delicious - the cucumber cider was a standout. Was a lovely Saturday afternoon!

I was there for the bourbon and live music. Great folks...had some issues with parking app in downtown timing out early. Not fault of tap room but Gettysburg app provider. Taproom was excellent ?.
