We called before we left the hotel to see the wait times for 5 people. They do not do call ahead seating. The host said we should be fine to come in around 4. We showed up and put our name on the list to wait 45 minutes. After 30 minutes, they called us and said the kitchen was overwhelmed and they could not seat us. So we essentially wasted 30 to 35 minutes when i could have gone somewhere else. Shame shame shame.
Made a reservation for 6 p.m. on Halloween in the fine dining room but got there and told private party has the dining room. Shuffled to the pub for a much lesser experience ... no comps, free appetizer or drink ... nothing but we could order from the more expensive menu in the cheaper pub atmosphere. Very disappointed. Peanut soup cold, drinks way overpriced. This is the tourist trap from hell and not in a good way. Do not care about customers. Do better Farnsworth Inn when you are at fault. Thanks for ruining our evening. Called manager next day and she obviously could care less.
Awesome place to eat! The cast of Gettysburg went to this tavern all the time they were filming the movie. Lots of movie memorabilia on display to see. The movie also plays while you are in here. Food is great!! Prices are very reasonable. The staff is awesome too!!! It's a great place for a group or just a couple. Try it! You won't be disappointed.😊

Had dinner here one night while staying at the Farnsworth House Inn. It really is an authentic tavern and is definitely well worth a try!

Nice selection of food and beer but the real star is the decor and aesthetics. The crab cake sandwich was great!

Great food, not so great service. My friend didn't get a side she ordered and I asked for a condiment that never came and was not told they didn't have.
