I don't know what happened to our Giant Eagle but their produce items have SUCKED!! We just purchased celery & lettuce on Sunday Feb 3rd and both had to be thrown out!! the entire lettuce & celery!! We weren't able to save anything!! I know people will probably say, "why didn't you take it back?" Why??? First of all, like we have time in-between working to take things back to the store after JUST BUYING IT!!! This isn't the first time this happened. It has happened before and we thought, well, things happen!! Nope!! not every time!! Looks like we will be shopping elsewhere!!!

I ordered a cake for my 2 year old's train-themed birthday party and just asked for them to write "chugga chugga two two". Whoever decorated this cake did a fantastic job and I really felt they took the little bit of extra time to make it look special. I wish I had been the one to pick it up so I could have thanked the baker/decorator. So if you work at GE bakery in Gibsonia and you made this cake, I loved it and I appreciate your care and extra effort to make it look so nice. Thank you.

Something no one realizes people steal the stupid baskets your whining about!!! The people who work there have more important things to do than snatch up the baskets, complain about the thieves in the area who keep stealing them for literally no reason.... The people who work there are constantly dealing with rude, miserable customers who get off on making other people miserable!

good reliable grocery store around pittsburgh. you can find everything from pre-packaged food to frozen section to deli to fresh fruits and vegetables. overall, decent prices on most things. they are an extensive grocery store that also dabbled in vitamins, health and wellness, and seasonal items.

I recently posted a few reviews around my disappointment that this Giant Eagle location had removed it's hand baskets. They reached out to me by phone and explained they had not removed them as much as the baskets have been getting gradually taken from the premises for whatever reason. They have ordered replacements but they are on backorder. I am however very happy with the customer service practice of reaching out to address customer issues and this is how a business should be run.

Terrible experience!! In for the holidays to visit for the Holidays and I was told I can not buy a bottle of wine or any alcohol there because I am from Florida. I asked for them to show me fine print and they could not find it and still would not allow me to purchase until managers came and they had to call the guy who sells them the alcohol if Floridians can really buy alcohol there at their store. Pure Discrimination!!! I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa but moved to Florida for college and stayed ever since. So this made me feel even more like an outcast and embarrassment in this store. My advice is to become more educated in your rules of the store and customer service. Also they didn’t wAnt to take our IDs because as they stated “I don’t know. I never saw a Florida ID but the hollagram looks weird” so I guess I’m not bringing a real form of identification either. At the end the ladies in the back of the cafe thought the whole situation was funny as they laughed in the back as I was with my husband and 1 year old daughter and the two managers finally allowed us to make our purchase. Thank you for the 1 hour to buy a bottle of wine.

If your hot food and meat sections say they are open until 6, but everything is cleaned up and taken away by 530. Why don’t you just say it’s open until 530.

Frozen chicken (brand shown, but w/cheese inside) is expired, best eaten by July 2, 2020. Boxes of it in the freezer section. Employee I mentioned it to said he didn't have anything to do with it. Tried to talk to a manager but waited some time and needed to leave before my items melted. Hope someone can remove the item/check expiration dates.

Just wanted to say thank you to all the employees at Giant Eagle Northtown Sq. Your doing a fantastic job. These are troubling times and still the employees are friendly and upbeat. The store is clean, well stocked and it makes a great difference to calm .. already frazzled nerves . A special thank you to Zachary ! He is always friendly and always offers to assist anyone to their car.
