If you order from this restaurant, triple check that the wait time they give you is accurate. Otherwise, you'll end up spending an evening in their parking lot.

The sushi that I got was amazing which is why I gave 5 stars. BUT the service wasn't the best, he didn't speak English. And when we asked for napkins he gave us TWO! The atmosphere was amazing, I felt like I was in China.

Service was terrible, despite being dead on a Friday night. Atmosphere was non-existent. Drinks took 45 mins to come out (a bubble tea and a bottled Coke), and the food took an hour. Go to Mola in East Liberty.
Dietary restrictions: They did not respect my gluten-free diet (I’m celiac). I was unable to eat most of my meal.

We had heard good things about a new sushi place and gave Jin Jing a try. The food was fantastic. We ordered two rolls, miso soup and sushi. Food is super authentic. The dining room is relatively small but that didn't bother us. We will be back!

I got tempura and language barrier got me wrong item. They fixed it. The shrimp was fresh but they did not serve what a Japanese restaurant would. Only 3 vegetables and were cut like French fries not oval and no mushrooms and only 1 piece of shrimp. I purchased the shrimp tempura as well which was not my intended order. It was all fresh and house salad was good. It was ok except for only serving only one half piece of shrimp.
Went at lunchtime. Ordered lots of Sashimi and Sushi between our group, was a special occasion. All delicious melt in your mouth . The miso soup was also very tasty, nice chunks of miso, nicely flavored broth.
Great service and lots of attention to refilling our green tea, a nice jasmine tea.
Looking forward to going back to sample more from the menu.

I stopped in at Sushi Jin Jing, and was glad I did. They didn’t have a curry, or a katsu don with gravy, but the katsu plate they did have was excellent. A LOT of takeout flying out the door. Just a lunch stop so not much else to say. If I wanted sushi and was in the area, I would go here again in a heartbeat. And the menu was nice. Plenty of choices. Nicely appointed interior as well. And nice sushi selection. Where I live the Japanese restaurant doesn’t do anything like even octopus. Or surf clam etc so the quality and variety of the sushi was a nice surprise. I cannot imagine anyone not liking Sushi Jin Jing.
