Food was great

The server was friendly and attentive to our needs. Service was paced so we had time to enjoy our starters. The menu also offered options not normally seen like bison and wild boar

This is one of those places that's only a 15 minute ride from home but still kinda out of the way so you forget it's there. Well we tried it tonight and we definitely won't forget it again. The decor is a little dated but in a cool mountain vacation home kinda way. The food, however, is outstanding. We had the stuffed mushrooms app, the meatloaf entree as well as the shrimp and grits. All were well sized and excellent! The little one had a Mac and cheese that was really good (to the point both mom and dad stole bites). On top of great food and prices they have a nice bar with a decent wine selection. The service was also great as well as friendly. Looking forward to our next meal here!Ps. Don't skip the warm rolls with honey, brown sugar butter!!

Our meals were delicious. The menu offered some interesting choices. The lobster ravioli appetizer sent my 12 year old son into a tizzy. LOL Our waitress Nikki could not have been nicer.

It is worth the trip! The menu is so varied and the chef is truly talented! For our appetizer, the steamers were just the way we like them and the warm rolls with cinnamon butter were yummy. My husband had the lamb and I had the Bison meatloaf and both were superb. We will be going back in the near future!

Without a doubt the cleanest restaurant I've ever seen! Wait staff was tremendously attentive and helpful, without being “in your face.” Food was delicious and lots of unique choices.

White pine once again did not disappoint. We requested our favorite waitress Liza. My husband has throat cancer and just like last time she was extremely helpful in helping making a selection. My husband had rack of lamb and I had scallop special. Both excellent choices. Now the cocktails. Southern comfort old fashion made to perfection. White wine in a chilled glass. Absolutely wonderful. Bryan the chef came out to greet us. Great chef and wonderful person. We will return again. Thank you Liza again for a wonderful dining experience!

Pleasantly surprised, delicious bread and butter to start, all food had good flavor. In middle of nowhere so we were skeptical, but it's good! We ordered the Shrimp and grits and the Mediterranean pasta. House salads were good too.

This is my second time coming to this restaurant. Service is great our waitresses were a delight. I had the meatballs again for an appetizer, and delicious like before; crispy, well seasoned with an equally tasty marinara sauce. This time I had the short rib. Everything about this dish was absolutely delicious. The potatoes creamy, the short rib was melt in your mouth tender and delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Brightening up the decor would improve the ambiance. Wait staff were Excellent. We asked the 'cook' or chef to come out but he never did. Lettuce in the Caesar salad was wimpy and bright yellow; no green leaves. Should have been served already tossed with a better dressing and shaved Parmesan cheese used. It was an over priced diner salad($8). House salad looked a little better. Meatballs appetizer looked unappealing; no sure how they tasted and again over priced. Lobster ravioli seemed to be enjoyed by friends that ate it. I had Ahi tuna served on top of salty humus and a side of sweet roasted carrots with a few pieces of mixed greens a two cherry tomatoes( not sure what this was about but it was not a good mix with tuna). I asked for broccoli instead but it did not come out with plate but waitress brought a few florets out. The one order of short ribs looked nice and was excellent in taste. It was served on to of garlic mash that were not that tastey and grey looking; not fluffy. Rolls were served with a sweet butter; not sure if it was supposed to be a honey type but it just was very sweet. The cordon blue was a breast stuffed and deep fried-looked just worst than a diner. The meteranean chicken was similar a fried breast stuffed with 'stuff' with greasy risotto This should have been a healthy dish ; I do not recommend. Waitress said all desserts were homemade. The cheesecake was good. The coffee was really good and turned out to be Maxwell house brewed in a Mr. Coffee machine. I won't come back here. Plate presentation needs improvement and side dishes as well. We were all looking for some chicken wings there which we remember from the old days. Good efforts but the prices charged do not match the quality and presentation of you get. I was expecting more and coming from New York City ; a lot of improvement in food served is really needed. Good luck!

We want to be delicate with this review because this seems like a mom-and-pop establishment that is definitely trying their best with what they have. That said, several aspects of our dining experience could have easily been improved when our family went this past week for a belated Father's Day dinner. It's cute inside--stuffy and old-fashioned but cute. The bar area would have been charming if not for the awful septic smell, but we were sat in the main dining room which only had a couple other tables. There was only a single person working and she carried their beer and wine menus on index cards--we know that times are tough, but c'mon. That's just silly. Also, everything took an excruciatingly long time even though the restaurant was virtually empty. Appetizers were not auspicious. The stuffed mushroom were undercooked, so had an unpleasant mouthfeel and just tasted bland. The meatballs had a weird crispy texture like they had been thawed and then broiled, so that was unappealing. A couple of main dishes were really good though! One of us ordered the beef barley soup, and to her surprise and delight, it was fantastic. The meat was hearty and tender, there was a ton of flavor, and you could tell a loving hand made it. The duck was also delicious: nice and crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside. The setta pasta, sadly, had a grossly overly creamy sauce, and our daughter's red sauce spaghetti tasted like it was made with the jarred stuff.Dessert was one option only, a cheesecake that you could tell was not homemade. It was fine.We don't foresee ourselves returning here, but we genuinely wish this business well and hope that others will enjoy their experience more than we did.

The decor is a little dated, but the food and cocktails were some of the best I had.The grits that came with the shrimp & grits were soooooo delicious. I don't know what kind of cheese they used, but it was creamy and cheesy. The shrimp was really fresh. We arrived about an hour before they closed and were served promptly. The staff was very nice our waitress was really pleasant.I would absolutely dine here again and would be willing to try anything off the menu.
