Mikie's Ice Cream & Green Cow

Hoagies were delicious. Didn't get to try their ice cream, but I heard great things! I will be back!

Great food and ice cream

Mikie's is up the street from where we practice baseball and softball several nights a week. We've stopped in a couple of times and it's usually been really busy. The 1st time I went I had a cheesesteak and order of breaded mushrooms. The cheesesteak wasn't bad, but the mushrooms were really good, even for the small portion. My son had a burger, fries and onion rings. He's a little guy and his eyes were bigger than his belly, so he only got through about half. He said his favorite was the onion rings. I stopped in another time with my daughter and she had the shrimp basket that she liked and I had the brisket sandwich with potato wedges. I definitely liked that more, but I had them put the cheese on the side because I don't think cheese belongs on brisket. It was good for the wedges though! I do recommend Mikie's just don't be in a hurry, it's a busy place!

For once the food was on par, but we waited in line (again) for ice cream and it was clear that the 50 patrons in line didn’t matter, and the call in orders took priority. Once I got to the register I said I had already paid for ice cream there was no apologies for the long wait, and the boy seemed annoyed to even be helping me. Never in 10+years of restaurant customer service has the phone orders coming in taken #1 priority over the physical customers in the building, and zero sense of urgency in helping get customers through the line. Highly disappointed

I would often eat lunch here when I worked in the area around 20 years ago. I stopped in today and found things much the same. The owner was in the front making homemade waffle cones, just as he always has. I ordered a "fried Italian" sub, which is apparently not a regular menu item anymore, but they fixed me one anyway. It was every bit as delicious as I remembered! They have a small arcade area and a gift shop too. I couldn't recommend Mikie's more highly. A great place for lunch, or to take the whole family.
