The owner is fantastic. The coffee is great and the pastry phenomenal. Prices are more than reasonable. What's not to like?

Incredible drinks; offers the best [Dirty, Iced] Chai Latte I've ever had. Great snack foods and pastries. Also unbeatable cozy atmosphere, it's a tiny place with a lot to offer. In my opinion, the best cafe in GBG (and that's beating out a lot of others).

I've been going to DV8, off and on, since around 2009. Each of the owners were down to Earth, cool people, who always cared about customers and the local community. Zach, the new owner, keeps that spirit alive and well. It's an intimate atmosphere with local art, and local pastries, etc. It's the complete opposite of corporate. These are the reasons I always stop by when I'm downtown.
Super cute place! Got one of their signature coffees, and it was lovely. I’m usually scared to get coffee in places because I think it’s going to be terrible (like Starbucks). I was pleasantly surprised when I got my cup. To find that it was creamy and full flavored. There’s a ton of artwork for sale inside, ranging in medium and theme. Something for everyone. I love that one of the rooms had art from one artist to showcase their work.Would love to stop here again when I’m in the area to see what new items are there and to have a nice cup of coffee.

First time customer and I tried the Mexican volcano. My goodness was it fabulous!! I cannot wait to bring my sister to try it! Atmosphere is kitschy, I wish I would’ve had more time to sit down and relax in the environment
Great service!! I get a bit chatty with a new place and a nice owner who is willing to help me try a couple coffees. He deserves every single sale he gets. The mexican tornado was like a cinnamon hot chocolate (even though i got it iced) and the plain ol espresso was on point. Lot's of drinks and pastries to fuel your day. Almost bought some art but i figured i need to try more of the menu instead. The place doesn't lack personality. For the novice or expert alike he will grin and bear any short convos or questions lol. I will be back for more!

Visited for the 1st time, Had an excellent coffee - Madagascar vanilla custard. Never tasted anything like it and really enjoyed it. Purchased two little loaves of sweet bread, and they were also delicious. A pop-up jewelery exhibit was also featured. Very nice place.
