Eat and drink at this Local Restaurant tonight!! Please, go somewhere you've never been.My wife and I are Hospitality Professionals from Toronto, Ontario. When travelling, we prefer to stay off the beaten path. The Headkeeper has now been added to our list of great finds. They provide a great patio bar and seating. After a friendly greeting amd options, we chose to sit inside. Our server, Sarah, was totally on point. Based on our tastes, she assisted in our selections of some 600 beers. Not a beer lover...Try a Jameson Orange cocktail, Dark n Stormy, or other ?The food was top notch. Flash Fried Calamari, Sautéed Forest Mushrooms, French Onion Crostini, and Cauliflower. Portions can work for a table of 4. Can't go wrong with this offering and five drinks for under $100!!Take the time to get to know Sarah, she may even offer her recommendations on some other cool local spots. We are now looking forward to exploring these potential gems over the next few days!!Thanks for your warm welcome and in starting us off on the right foot (or in the right cups)??

I'm from the Gulf Coast, but they have the best calamari in the states.

After a very long day of sightseeing, we were starving and looking for a good meal. The Headkeeper's menu looked appealing so we decided to give it a try. Being unfamiliar with the area finding the parking was a little tough, but we managed. There's also a sign at the door to enter through the patio which is a little different. We chose to sit inside because it was just a tad bit warm outside. The inside is unique with very large coolers of what looks like any kind of beer or cider you would ever want. They also have a full bar. We chose to sit at the bar, which was nice enough and overlooks the cooking area. The bartender / waitress was quite nice and greeted us right away. We ordered a bottle of wine and perused the menu. Since we were very hungry we ordered the Lamb Egg Rolls, which I thought would come out quickly. They came out in an average length of time and were just shy of overcooked. The ground lamb inside was dry and without any flavor. The sauce was just a bit flat-tasting, but we ate it all because we were so hungry. Because the appetizer course was not impressive, we probably would have left, however, we had already ordered and opened a bottle of wine, and were still very hungry. We watched the cooks prepare other dishes to see how they looked, before making our decision. Nothing looked super delicious so we decided to stick with our original plan and order the filet medium rare. Because it came with nothing other than a bacon "jam" on top, we ordered a dinner salad to go with it; which came out super quick. The dinner salad is essentially a Caesar salad with cold blackened chicken on top. It was a bit on the salty side and definitely had too much dressing on it. It appears that the lettuce and dressing are pre-mixed ahead of time and not to order. Our filet came out, with no garnishes or anything other than the bacon jam. The jam was also very salty and lacked flavor. The filet was not seasoned otherwise and came out more medium-well than medium rare. Their menu sounds appealing on the surface but for $100. We were not impressed. I can make a better filet and salad myself and I don't do it for a living. We've been to 1 other restaurant in the area so far, and for the same price got a meal that was much superior in flavor and presentation. Unfortunately, the Headkeeper just didn't impress us.

Food was excellent portion sizes are extremely tiny and entrees don’t come with sides which I found odd. They have a beer wall which looked exciting and the staff is extremely nice and welcoming. Very chill vibe and enjoyable atmosphere.

The calamari is so good. I live near the beach so I'm usually skeptical about seafood anywhere else but theirs is really good.
