A friend recently shared a chocolate cherry torte from Cakes & Scones Bakery and it was very good. Great taste and a decadent texture.

A friend brought a chocolate dessert with a layer of cherry. It was absolutely delicious. The bakery is 2 hours away from me, but I will absolutely be visiting in the future based on this gifted experience! Phenomenal!!

The BEST empanadas in existence. Cakes, pastries, cookies, etc are also delicious but the empanadas are my reason to visit. I just wish they had some better hours. We pass by on our way to wallenpaupack on Friday evenings, and again traveling home Sunday afternoons. Both times they're usually closed. It's rare I get to stop in and I'm sure my family isn't alone with this situation.
Vegetarian options: They usually have a meat and a meatless empanada option
Parking: Limited parking between street abd building. Difficult to back out in a truck

We've come to know Tere first through local Farmer's markets and then her shop. To our granddaughters she is the "treat lady!" We've enjoyed all her goods! Even has some offerings for those with gluten issues.Go and try Cakes and Scones, you won't be disappointed!
