“2nd time here. First was spur of the moment had to sit at bar and eat. Ordered filet mignon rated it 8.5 of 10 had to come back to try again at table service. Made reservations they squeezed us in same day as call tried to order filet again but they were out? Friday night out already 5:30 pm? Very disappointed but ordered the strip steak. Steak was cooked perfect but sauce on it was just ok. Dinner does come with warm bread and side salad both were delicious”
“Great local spot in the area. The staff is very friendly and the food came out fast. I got the Pittsburg burger which came with crispy fries and we also got pierogis and penne a la vodka. Def good picks, would like to try the rest of the menu!”
“Great find after visiting Mt. Wismer Trail. The kids loved the food and I got the steak for lunch. Very surprised for that a piece that big and it was absolutely worth it.There was a smoking and no smoking side and felt like a very comfortable spot to unwind.”
“Visiting from out of town, loved it here! Had our dog with us, super dog friendly. Had some chicken bites, duck fat french fries and the venison bratwurst - tasty! Service was super helpful and friendly. Had some tasty beers and took some cans to go!”
“The bakery is bright, cheery and the baked goods and empanadas are to die for. Best bakery in this area! The staff are friendly and informative. Don't drive by without stopping for a tasty treat!”
“Catherine was welcoming & made a Moscow Mule & BlackBerry Mojito to perfection! Food was excellent! Atmosphere was warm, clean & inviting. The perfect place to weather a rainstorm.”
“My visit to the Subway left a positive impression. The cleanliness of the establishment was commendable, and the staff exhibited excellent customer service. The variety of toppings and bread choices allowed for a personalized sandwich experience. If you're looking for a tasty and convenient option, this Subway is a solid choice.”
“This is by far the best Italian food I had in years. I’m very pleased and satisfied. I highly recommend it. The authenticity of the food and quality is by far the greatest I had in a long time. Very welcoming atmosphere, great services.”
“Love, love, love this place! The question should be what don't I recommend and the answer is NOTHING! We stayed at the b&b so had the opportunity to have several breakfasts, plus we ate dinner here a couple evenings. Mark is a fabulous chef with a grasp of fun and tasty food combinations. Breakfasts offerings were from traditional to comfort to just plain fabulous. The dinner menu is compiled weekly by Mark and it makes you want to eat here several times in order to try the various dishes. On separate occasions we had a couple of the lemon cocktails, the fois Gras appetizer, curry soup, sea bass (phenomenal), lobster pasta, prosciutto flat bread, chop and both desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious! We needed a few more nights in order to sample more of the menu! I highly recommend eating here, and if possible on more than one occasion!”
“Super quaint and small diner with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. To top it off, food was really good and definitely hit the spot - home fries were phenomenal! Would definitely recommend!”
“Such a great little place with great food!! The place was very clean and staff was very friendly. Plus they had the best gluten free bread my wife has ever had. We ate there 3 times in two days while we were in town. Thank you!!Dietary restrictions: gluten free options”
“A restaurant full of history.Incredibly fun to walk through antique shop, fascinating treasures, interesting artwork, each room had a unique flavor and ambiance. Now, the food...Great authentic German cuisine experience. Pretzel-like bread was especially delicious. Great variety of different schnitzel and German meats. Didn't order and beer, but many different options available. Fresh and made right there in the adjoining kitchen to dining area. Feels intimate and as if you're enjoying a home cooked meal.Special recognition to the experience and atmosphere. Owners are great hosts and make you feel like family.”
“I'm from Oklahoma here working on a project and happened upon this small deli and I think they are awesome. You can tell a lot of locals go there regularly. I especially like their Italian heroes and Philly cheese steaks!”
“The prices were incredibly reasonable, the food was good, and the aesthetic is charming. The service was prompt and very friendly. Absolutely recommended, especially if you're hungry and a bit road weary.”
“I came to visit the Poconos area. I'm from brooklyn NY. I consider myself a very tough critic on pizza. I was not expecting good pizza in this area, and I have to say this pizza was spectacular. The fact that I took out my phone, and that I am writing a review is testament enough.Enormous pizza, terrific dough, delicious sauce. I'd give it a Barstool 8.2”
“my friend and i stopped on our drive back to jersey and it was the best decision ever. we got catfish, fries, collard greens, candied yams, mac and cheese ANDDDD banana pudding ? literally so gas i’m so upset we live far away. AND THE HALF AND HALF IS CRACK I HAD TO GET MORE”
“A little bit pricey but the coffee is really darn good. They have some pastries that they source from a bakery that are pretty tasty as well! Definitely the best coffee in the area. Also very nice decor inside.”
“Love this place! Pizza is really good. We also like to get wings. And fries- which are somehow always crispy even tho it's takeout, lol. Mike's is our first choice for take out.”
“While visiting the area we tried the pizza here, and it was amazing! It was easy to order by phone, and we picked it up 20 minutes later. Their Garden Fresh pizza is terrific! The dough, the sauce, and the semi crispy veggies were all wonderful! Everyone we interacted with was very friendly. We highly recommended this place!”
“The Daily Bread Bakeshop is a European-style artisan bakery that opened in Mountainhome, Pennsylvania in 2003. It was founded by husband and wife Kevin & Traci Conroy. After his family relocated to the Poconos from Long Island, Kevin worked in a number of country inns; first as a waiter and then as a chef. He met Traci at the Pump House in Canadensis; she was a waitress and he was the sous chef. They married a year later and began a catering business that they ran for nine years. For years, Kevin kept his eye on a little circa-1910 shop building in Mountainhome. The Conroys finally bought it in 2002 with a dream of opening their own bakery. Kevin never worked as a baker until he opened up the bakery. He was a completely self-taught baker and chef. While Kevin spent most of his time focusing on baking all of the breads from scratch, Traci focused on baking the pies, cookies and pastries. Kevin sadly passed away in 2019, but Traci and their adult children Nicole and Philip are continuing his dream and legacy at the bakery. My family and I recently visited The Daily Bread Bakeshop while we were spending Memorial Day weekend in the Poconos. We had driven by it during other times that we stayed in the Poconos, and thought we should stop by one morning and grab something for breakfast. The place was packed when we stopped in, but the air smelled so good. The small shop had a great selection of various bread loaves, cookies, pies, croissants, bagels, rolls, cupcakes and brownies. We decided to get a loaf of Lemon Blueberry Sourdough, a loaf of Jalapeño Popper Sourdough (loaded with Cheddar Cheese and Jalapeños), and a Dark Chocolate Peppermint square. Everything that we purchased was delicious and so fresh tasting. We'll definitely be stopping back again the next time we're in the Poconos.”
“The place is GORGEOUS. Decorated nicely for the holidays as well. The staff was great overall, with server Anthony was extremely nice and the management taking the time to talk to us about the renovations and experience there. The food was delicious. We had a mountain of calamari and the braised short ribs. Will absolutely book here the next time we stay at Skytop.”
“Definitely a roadhouse feel inside & out which is kinda the whole point. The chef never disappoints & service is always great whether they are busy or not. Saw a Led Zep cover band there over the summer, was a great time. Not your woke-type crowd in there which is fine by us ”
“We live right here in Mountain Home. So ths is not a “weekender” sending in a review. If it wasn’t the BEST place ever, tje locals would never go back. Aside from that, they make the absolutely most wonderful sandwiches and Rays homemade soups are fantastic. Also aside, the folks that work there go above and beyond to help you with your order. Friendly , cheerful, it’s the place you go when you need a lift, coffee or smile wise. Spend a little time there, if you want “in and out” in 10 minutes, to go a fast food place on the highway. Those of us here in town love the atmosphere and the friendship. Weekend welcome, too.”
“I had an amazing time Saturday night with Jake Kellog hosting Karaoke, place was packed with good people around my age. It’s so nice to have something to do in Lake Ariel again. Thank you to the new owners! Please support this business, they’ll be serving breakfast soon too! Can’t wait!!”
“The BBQ chicken was the best pizza I've had in years. We dined in, the staff were very friendly and the environment was very comfortable. Will definitely be coming back”
“We have been going to the Totem Inn for the last few months, mainly for the hamburgers. They are truly incredible. There are few contenders to the flavor, quality and enjoyment one gets when eating a locally sourced handmade special seasonings, real tomato and onion all on a unique branded bun. And not a sloppy eat like many othersPrice is great. We get the bacon cheddar burger. It's the real deal .The service is impeccIble and friendly.Highly recommend.”
“Amazing food truck by Tobyhanna lake, decided to ditch my packed Wawa lunch for something different. Got their mofongo con pernil. The pork was super tender and flavorful, but the mofongo!!! One of the best I've had!! The two owners working the truck the cook tent are super nice and helpful. Will be back!”
“Took my mom on a Mother’s Day weekend. We stopped here for lunch while on our way somewhere. The burger I had was one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. No joke. The soup was excellent, and the fries were amazing. I watched my mom who picks at food eat almost her whole plate of salad. Highly recommend! Clean, professional, and great service!”
“Best Chinese food I've had outside of Chinatown or New Jersey. Nice friendly staff. Flavorful food. Dark brown sauces (not light) and roast pork fried rice has flavor and everything you'd expect in it (not barely cooked white rice with just onions!)Will definitely go back again and again!Wheelchair accessibility: 100% wheelchair accessible.”
“The staff was very welcoming. She told us what food they were know for, she was definitely right!! Their cheese steak special is delicious, you get half a cheese steak and 6 wings of your choice.”
