We happened upon this charming, vintage, European-inspired bakery/café on a summer trip in the Poconos. What a delightful find! The coffee was fantastic; scones had a tender crumb; and the Portuguese custard tarts were the closest we have found in the U.S. to the delectable pasteles de nata we enjoyed in Lisbon. A friend brought a chocolate dessert with a layer of cherry. It was absolutely delicious. The bakery is 2 hours away from me, but I will absolutely be visiting in the future based on this gifted experience! Phenomenal!!
Cakes & Scones Bakery made me 2 cakes for our Birthday/Christmas in July celebrations. They were absolutely delicious. Chocolate Mousse Cake and a Berry Cake with whipped cream frosting. No one could decide which was better, so they had a piece of each.
