“It has been a long while since I have been so driven as to write a review for a Hawley restaurant. The place speaks for itself.... for a restaurant with very little parking , you will find it FULL with reservations required. We have eaten there several times on a Thursday night during the early bird special menu and I highly recommend it . On a scale of 1-10 I give them a 14. I was referred to the Ridge and have in turn referred many others. A smaller , very comfortable place with 100 year old victorian architecture and some of the best food and broad selection of entrees that I have experienced anywhere in a long time.”

“A delightful little place at the south end of Lake wallenpaupack. Everyone was friendly and the service was great.
It is always hard to find homemade pyzy , but this restaurant had them. The highlight was the cold salad that accompanied my dish. Authentically Polish beet salad and others.

There was good parking although during the high season, it could be more difficult.

We drove an hour to get here and it was worth it. there are plenty of good Polish delis in Pennsylvania, but, at least in the southeast not many restaurants. This place is worth the drive.

Gentlemen, at the next table had a Kabasa sandwich which looked great. I have had one at home the day before and decided to pass, however. Otherwise, that has been my order.”

“Dairy Twist is less an ice cream shop and more a temple of frozen excess, a cathedral where the faithful come not to worship but to drown in sugar and cream. The very notion of a “single scoop” here is an affront to the dictionary: what they present could nourish an expeditionary force crossing the Sahara.

To order one cone per person, as we did, is to underestimate the sheer ambition of this establishment. Each serving arrives like a geological marvel, a glacial formation sculpted by the gods of dairy. My friend Jim, poor soul, received his portion in what can only be described as a Chipotle-sized bowl, though unlike burritos, this vessel overflowed with a volcano of brownies and soft-serve ice cream cascading in avalanches of chocolate.

We laughed, we despaired, and then we did what any mortals faced with Olympus-sized desserts must do: we shared, we surrendered, and we reveled in the sweet delirium. It was an indulgence so excessive that one risks either brain freeze or a diabetic trance, yet every spoonful sang of joy.

If ever you wish to taste the sublime absurdity of abundance, Dairy Twist awaits. Enter with courage, bring friends, and abandon moderation at the door.”

“Roadside catered our wedding at The Venue at Carley Brook and the food and service was outstanding! Our guests raved about the cocktail hour appetizers and the dinner. “My wife and I recently stopped at Lena's Café on Route 652 for lunch, and overall we had a very enjoyable experience.

I ordered the Reuben on rye, while my wife chose the turkey Reuben. Both sandwiches were very good and served with chips. I decided to upgrade to French fries with my meal, and I'm glad I did. The fries were absolutely outstanding—without question some of the best I've ever had.

My Reuben was huge and packed with flavor. My wife's turkey Reuben was more average in size but equally tasty. For drinks, I ordered a Diet Pepsi and my wife requested a glass of water. One surprise was that the water was listed at $2.75 on the bill. I wasn't sure of the cost of the Diet Pepsi.

The only minor issue during our visit was with drink service. About halfway through my meal, I asked for a refill on my Diet Pepsi, but it didn't arrive until the check was brought to the table, and it was served in a to-go cup. By that point, I no longer needed it, so I left it behind.

That small hiccup aside, the food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the fries alone are worth a return visit. We enjoyed our lunch and would certainly stop by Lena's Café again when we're in the area.”

Not conventional but maybe everyone should follow suit here. This is something I experienced in Florence by the way. so if the quality is there, then quit your whining, and LOOSEN UP I say! Publishing fixed prices with the way the cost of food goods are fluctuating like gas prices is a huge waste of time and money for small business! A small business owner who usually doesn't have enough time in the day as it is, should simply adopt the concept. It probably saves a ton of money and time, I get it, I applaud the notion! Everything was wonderful!”

“Wow! I can’t say enough about how good breakfast just was! We started with fresh really hot coffee. My friend had the creamed chipped beef which he said was delicious. I had eggs which were cooked just right, yummy hot home fries and crispy bacon. The toast was even toasted to perfection and the bacon just the way I like it, crispy!
