The Old Rangers Inn offers a casual dining experience in an area with limited restaurant options. I have never had any issues with the food or prices here. This is a great place to visit for family meals & those seeking a good cheesesteak, burger, or beer! Steak, seafood, & Italian options are also listed on the menu & the salad bar has been complimented on more than one occasion.

Go with your first instinct when you walk through the doors - walk right back to your car and go somewhere else.

It was difficult to breathe in the non-smoke area. The only relief I found was in the restrooms but there I found spiders and webs all over the ceiling.

The ribeye was dry and overcook. Worst mac n cheese ever. It was watery and had no flavor - correction, there was flavor but just not good flavor. The fries needed salt.

The chicken parm wasn’t too bad.

The server was nice.

The atmosphere itself felt like I was in a horror film. No lighting, no music, no person there other than ourselves once we were seated.

Been going here for years and has always been good but went there recently and the 3 of us ordered ribeye and shrimp. The ribeye was inedible! Full of grizzle and fat and couldn’t even cut it with a steak knife. The owner refused to do anything about it! Poor business in my opinion! Nevertheless we won’t be returning here! They lost some long time customers!!

Stopped in for a late night bite and cold beer after a day of travel. Ordered a pizza not expecting much and was very pleasantly surprised they make fresh dough and their own sauce....both of which were spot on! Bartender was super friendly and we chatted about local attractions.

The place is a diamond in the rough! In the middle of the woods, the food created by Chef Pete and the staff was incredible! I highly recommend this place as a stop for dinner!

I have been here before and always had the broiled fish dinner. Which was good. Saturday night ordered the Delmonico steak.. A huge piece for 30 dollars. It was inedible, grizzly, fatty and tough. I couldn’t cut through it. I tried my best to have a piece but could not chew it. When the waitress asked how was our dinner I told her mine was not edible. She said sorry will tell the chef. Later she returned with the check and said nothing more!!! We paid tipped 20% , boxed it up and fed to my neighbors dog!!! Very disappointed!!!!

Cost $35 for a bar pie, cup of soup and 2 mugs of draft beer. Go to the Mountain House down the road. $20 for the same amount of food and beer plus you don’t have a bartender blowing cigarette smoke in your face while you eat.

Great find after visiting Mt. Wismer Trail. The kids loved the food and I got the steak for lunch. Very surprised for that a piece that big and it was absolutely worth it.There was a smoking and no smoking side and felt like a very comfortable spot to unwind.
