2nd time visiting. First visit was excellent food wise and service. This visit service fine. Food was just not very good. The elk meatloaf which I craved since my last visit last year was dry and I could have thrown it 50 feet and threw a window that's how solid and tough it was. The steaks for $40 tasted as if they were in a freezer for the summer. The hen was like sandpaper, I'm sorry but I loved this place first visit and dislike equally after this visit. Never mind paying for good food but this was not good. Maybe they had a bad day, I don't know. But won't drive the 90 min again to visit...that's how different and good it was last time we stumbled on it. We went way out of the way to get back...ugh....

Place is clean and nice but customer service is very poor, our waitress had an attitude like she didn’t want to work there, refilled our drinks when we were done with the food and she yelled at people who walked in and didn’t have reservation and didn’t even allow them at the bar which had empty spots.

We had a great time at Promised Land Inn last night, our waitress was exceptional, she was very attentive and helpful. She even offered to take pictures of my fiancee and I while we were dressed up for our anniversary. I am very pleased. Thank you

It's not my thing to have dead animals hanging on the walls but I get that we're in the poconos. I didn't eat but the rest of our group did and they said food was 4 stars. Service was odd and not great at the bar. The woman on my left was bizarre.

It is Monday. Google says you restaurant is open. Drove a half hour to have dinner. Got to your establishment and it was closed. Can you at least keep your hours of operation updated. So so disappointed!

Was out riding a on a beautiful day, stopped for some lunch and a beer. Waitress was awesome, food was great, outside seating was awesome!
We had a large 10 person group. Our server was excellent, food was very good. I got the Elk meatloaf and the ribs. Top notch.

The elk burgers disappointed.
The bacon on one of the elk burgers consisted of a few tiny crumbled pieces of bacon, and I mean a few.
Appetizers were fair.
The waitress needs training.
The place was not hospitable at all.
We were really looking forward to dinner here with our friends. We were all extremely disappointed.
We are locals, but will not be coming back.
Btw it was a Saturday night & it was not busy. Just 3 tables of patrons. That should’ve been a warning sign of what experience awaited us.

We dined here with another couple and the consensus was we would never go back again. The filet mignon was very tough and tasted like ashes. The men were looking forward to the elk burgers however they were very disappointed with the taste. The salmon dish was fair. The waitress could use more training and perhaps learn how to smile. We were there on a Saturday evening and it was not busy at all. Only three tables with patrons. That says it all.  Very expensive for the value of the meal & ambiance.
