We had a large 10 person group. Our server was excellent, food was very good. I got the Elk meatloaf and the ribs. Top notch.
The filet mignon was very tough. The elk burgers disappointed. The bacon on one of the elk burgers consisted of a few tiny crumbled pieces of bacon, and I mean a few. Appetizers were fair. The waitress needs training. The place was not hospitable at all. We were really looking forward to dinner here with our friends. We were all extremely disappointed. We are locals, but will not be coming back. Btw it was a Saturday night & it was not busy. Just 3 tables of patrons. That should’ve been a warning sign of what experience awaited us.
We dined here with another couple and the consensus was we would never go back again. The filet mignon was very tough and tasted like ashes. The men were looking forward to the elk burgers however they were very disappointed with the taste. The salmon dish was fair. The waitress could use more training and perhaps learn how to smile. We were there on a Saturday evening and it was not busy at all. Only three tables with patrons. That says it all. Very expensive for the value of the meal & ambiance.
Enjoyed the Promised Land Inn. Food was good and a good value for what you got. Loved the rustic atmosphere.
Best grilled cheese ever!
had dinner tonight - food was great- service was terrible. Mackenzie was rude and inattentive. Luckily, Charlie picked up her slack. Charlie is a great addition to your establishment and we really enjoyed him. Next time you go, ask for Charlie and you will enjoy your food!
Started with French onion soup , very good . Has the rustic pasta dish it was really good also. Would recommend to others service was good and food was very good.
Stopped in for a beer and a quick snack. Nice selection of beer and the onion rings were hot and delicious!
Been here a few times, food is always great.
Went there this evening at about 7:30.
Tonight the hostess asked how many, 3 we said, and she said there was nothing available, could only offer drinks at this time.
We asked if there was an ETA and she said “about an hour and a half, when we will be closed”
Seemed kind of odd for the time and it being a Saturday, and just a peculiar interaction overall.
Had a great experience. The food was great. My brother-in-law had the elk burger said it was amazing and I had the wings which were really good.

This place was such a gem 💎 find! We were visiting for the weekend and I had made a reservation. Unfortunately I didn’t know it was close to closing time being a server myself we felt horrible and tried to get out quickly and it was also snowing. With that being said this is why I couldn’t take many photos. The buffalo shrimp was hands down THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. My husband had the waygu burger I had a few bites it was delicious I highly recommend! I ate a flatbread it wasn’t the greatest and the garlic smashed potato’s were sooooo creamy and good! Our server Brianne was so sweet even at closing time! She was on top of our table and needs without ever rolling her eyes or making it obvious she wanted to leave for the night I’ve been there and she didn’t rush us thank you 🫶🏼. I wish I caught her name she was really pretty with dark hair and a lip piercing just wanted to thank you for your wonderful service!
Our server was having a bad night. Hope it got better for her. We normally get amazing food and service at PLI. The burgers are delicious.
Bartender was mean but in a hot way. Manager provided excellent service. Food was incredible and they have my favorite beer. My new weekly spot.
Great food , ice cold beer . MacKenzie was fantastic.
A quaint but pricey little place out of the way in the woods. A nice rustic atmosphere. Our server, I can't recall her name, was very gracious and attentive with our party. While the service and atmosphere was great, the food was not as good as I had hoped as I had heard rave reviews about this place. My elk burger was good but billed higher than listed in the printed menu. List price was $16.95 and charged price was $19.00. I understand that stock prices can fluctuate; however, patrons should be informed that prices will be different or new menus with correct pricing should be printed. Someone else with me ordered the wagyu burger medium, and it was served very rare. When asked to cook it further, the time between taking it from the table and re-delivering was approximately 2 minutes. Our server was very apologetic and removed it from the bill after finding out it was the same. A nice place to visit, but not worth going out of the way for. If camping in Promised Land SP, be sure to check it out. From all the higher reviews, I'm hoping we just happened to catch it on a bad day.
