Only ever get take out here when I am in the area so I can say that the pulled pork and beef are amazing and worth every penny. They have great flavor and seasoned nicely with a nice portion for a fair price. The owner is a great guy who will talk with you while he gets your order ready and make you feel that he truly is grateful for your business.

Stopped here after Lake Tobias for dinner on account of the good rating and listing as "barbecue." Nice folks and I typically wouldn't leave a bad review when the service was good, but it's just not a BBQ place and the food really didn't have any flavor. I had a pulled pork platter - fries were good but the pork wasn't barbecued and didn't have any flavor to speak of. The gravy on top was good and carried it, but I wouldn't go back. I will say, the guys across from me got a steak platter and a fried shrimp platter and those both looked pretty good.

I ordered a Steak wrap with lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers, cheese and steak of course. They charged me 2$ more for something I didn’t order, a hot chip beef melted cheese and peppers. I called and they blamed my husband rather than saying they made a mistake! I’m so upset!!! There’s no lettuce, no tomatoes, no onions, not steak but chipped beef!!!

Great "Mom & Pop" stop just outside of Halifax. Excellent section of food (pork, beef, chicken, even some seafood). Family owned and run! Loved the "Grub House" decor. Nice place to take the family for a reasonably priced meal that you shouldn't walk away hungry from.
