Very slow service. To me the food was terrible except for the salad. The sandwiches for 4 people were on one dinner sized plate!! Very small portions And just not good.. Young girl helping had hair hanging down in her face. What happened to servers having to have their hair pulled back? The manager was friendly and nice enough. I have been to a lot of tearooms and this one was terrible.

This is a tea room “experience”. Amazing and creative food, service was personable and Allison could not have been more competent and informative about the tea and food menu. Do not go if you are in a hurry. It’s a very pleasant pace for the meal. The savory hot dog scone was a pleasant surprise. The tea sandwiches were very different and wonderful. They had elements of tradition but each with a little twist that made them a step above your usual tea room sandwich. The high tea was very filling. In fact, I could not eat everything and Allison insisted on packing it up to go! I happened to stop here on the way back to Washington, DC from Hershey, PA. I enjoyed it so much that I would make the 1 and 1/2 hour drive to do it again. I am sure I could find other things to do along the way that would make it a worthwhile drive.

Beautiful Tea Room! Was absolutely perfect for my sister's baby shower. I was unsure of the interesting sounding menu. However everything they served was amazing! I will be back for the food and fun experience again

I visited here for the first time with my wife and in-laws. I was unsure what to expect after reading newer reviews, but have to be honest, this place was great. I have zero complaints. Food was good, tea was good, service was good, and the atmosphere was great. We will return.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — Not Worth the Time or Money
We visited the Front Porch Tea Room and Gathering Place today at 11 AM for high tea, hoping for a charming and satisfying experience. Unfortunately, what we received was far from it — and nowhere near worth the $40 per person price tag.
The meal began with a very small starter salad that was just “okay” — nothing memorable. Things quickly went downhill from there. We were served two scones: a Mexican scone and an apricot scone. The Mexican scone was absolutely awful — dry, packed with oversized pieces of corn, and completely unappetizing. The apricot scone, served with clotted cream, was passable but nothing special.
Next was the soup course, with a choice of cold strawberry soup or a hot chicken and vegetable soup. We opted for the chicken — a decision we regretted. It was so salty and off-putting it was nearly inedible.
The sandwiches were, frankly, laughable. We were served a soggy 0.35-inch slice of a Mexican pinwheel topped with Doritos (yes, Doritos). Then came a paper-thin slice of bread with the faintest smear of cream cheese and an ultra-thin slice of cucumber — hardly a sandwich. Finally, we were given a single Tostitos scoop chip with a tiny dollop of chicken salad, which tasted powdery and artificial.
Dessert didn’t save the meal either. We chose the coconut cream pie jar and the chocolate peanut butter cake. The coconut dessert was curdled and completely inedible, and the chocolate cake was bone dry and just as unpleasant.
To make matters worse, the service was extremely slow, with 20 minutes (or more) between courses. We tried five different teas, all of which were unremarkable or outright bad. When we voiced our concerns to the waitress, she showed no interest or concern about our poor experience.
This establishment is under new management as of a month ago, and if you’ve been here before like I have — let me warn you: it is NOT the same place. The quality has completely fallen off a cliff. We left hungry, frustrated, and disappointed.
Save your money and skip this place. It’s not worth your time or appetite.

My wife and I were recently married in the garden at The Front Porch Tea Room. As a disclaimer, the tea room is not a wedding venue. However, we were looking for a more unique venue and we definitely found it here! The staff was amazing through the whole process. Our ceremony was in the garden amongst their flowers. A high tea was served and the food was delicious. The staff worked with our timeline for the day to make everything go as smoothly as possible. They even allowed us to show up on Friday to set up for a Saturday ceremony, along with cleanup waiting until Monday. We can't thank the Front Porch Tea Room and Gathering Place enough for the beautiful day!
We had a wonderful time celebrating birthdays with two friends.

The atmosphere was charming with mismatched Victorian style plates, cozy table settings. The service was excellent. The food was delicious ( what there was of it) We were served one 2 inch finger sandwich, one strawberry and one meatball( 1 inch in diameter). The soup was good but again maybe a cup total of almost all broth. The green salad was small. Only the scone was of normal size. Plenty of several variety black teas. We had ordered the Savory Afternoon Tea

Wonderful tea room in York County, must try!! Scheduled a large group for a high tea luncheon & everything was fantastic! A delicious, filling menu with lots of choices. Attentive, friendly wait staff. Michelle, the owner, is such a delight & enthusiastic with her guests! Perfect tea room ambiance with painted wall murals, tea hats & decor. Will definitely be returning & highly recommend!

My first time doing a Tea.
I loved this place! Our group got the 'Savory Tea' The salad with their poppy seed dressing was fantastic, savory Scone with cream was a nice combo. Then mini sandwiches were all wonderful. Especially delightful, was their pork n Sauerkraut (meatball) topped with a fancy swirl of herb mashed potato. & the Cucumber sandwich was very refreshing.
It's a lovely old house, decor was warm & cozy. Casual dress or dress up . Our hostess was very warm & cheerful.
We had a wonderful time! ♥️
Notes: •Restroom is up a flight of stairs in case anyone has mobility issues.
•Parking lot gets full, so try to carpool or get there early. Otherwise parking is down the hill on Market st.
Parking: Parking lot gets full, try to carpool if possible.
Wheelchair accessibility: No bathroom on first floor, wheelchair would not be easy to use. But perhaps if call ahead staff could accommodate.

High-Tea way over priced and we had to pay full price for the meals not served of the 3 people who didn't get there due to scheduling issues. Not at all happy with the variety of tea options and food options or the size of the food. I was told to give this place a high rating because they served honey. This is the best I can do.
