Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Staff is friendly, food is good & portions are generous. If there is a “waiting time” to be seated there’s lots of merchandise to look at to occupy your time while you wait! Been eating at Cracker Barrel’s for years & when on a road trip it’s a sure bet I’m stopping there for a meal whether during the day or evening!

Great food,friendly staff, never disappointed! It’s our go to for home style cooking! Large menu with new item added every so often.Loved the chicken tenders(strips). Husband had country fried steak and he loved it, as usual. Very economical.

Stopped in with my family for lunch on 12-10-2024. My husband and I had the the meatloaf. I had mashed potatoes and green beans. To start, the meatloaf had, what I assumed, was to be ketchup. Only this ketchup was so burnt on, it wasn't red anymore. The green beans we very mushy and the mashed potatoes were cold, i could "cut" them. When we were asked how our meal was, all that was said is that they would let management know. I took it home in hopes that my dogs might enjoy it more than I did. Side note, get rid of those candles. They stink.

My wife and I ordered meatloaf, we were not at all impressed. It wasn't horrible, but it certainly wasn't tasty. Her mashed potatoes were dry and unappealing. While we paid, we were asked how our meal was and told them that the ketchup on the meatloaf was black and hard (burnt) and that it was unappetizing. The person checking us out made no effort to appease us. Also, the bathrooms were filthy. We have no urge to return to this restaurant.

We called ahead for seating and we're told it would be 20 - 25 minutes. We arrived and the place was packed. We waited until our time had passed (10 minutes after it) and I asked how far down the list we were. I was shown a list that had at least 8 groups still ahead of us. I asked why we were told 20 minutes, waited over 30 minutes and still have that many groups ahead if us (it was just 2 of us). I was told it was because all of those people came in after I called, so I told her that I thought that the purpose of calling ahead was to reserve your spot. I was told that it doesn't work that way and they don't hold your spot. We waited over 45 minutes past the time we were given. Just an awful experience.

First visit to a Cracker Barrel. LOVED it. Food was delicious -tenders and shrimp were on point; also including sides: things like Fried okra, Biscuits and white gravy. Our server, Mahtab, was a lovely girl - helpful talkative and attentive. RECOMMEND.

Vegetarian options: Limited to sides mostly.

The food and service was very good however the check out person who took our payment for the food and purchased items in the store was extremely helpful and courteous

Bacon was delicious….. pancakes were visibly burnt. The 1st cup of coffee was only warm, the 2nd cup was much better

I had fried eggs and biscuits and the eggs were cooked perfectly and the biscuits were so soft and fluffy and delicious. I asked for honey too and service was quick and cordial.

Wonderful lunch ! I ate too much ,my chicken tender meal was great . Loved our Server ! Kind , warm and incredibly personable.

We stopped here on Black Friday, and even though ti was super busy, the staff did a great job keeping things moving. The food was excellent, too.
