Unfortunately the food was just... sad. The hot dogs aren't anything special. They taste like that really cheap huge bundle pack from Walmart that has like 24-36 hot dogs, for a comparison. If you do the special, the condiment pile is truly too much. The fries were bare without salt... everything was served lukewarm as though it had been heated up instead of fresh cooked hot and steaming. The gravy was great, it resembled a Mccormick gravy packet though.. No fault to the waitress, she was wonderful. You'd get better tasting hot dogs with a lil flavor from Sam's Club imo. I'm thankful to have tried it, but I won't be returning. There's some dramatic improvements that need to be made specifically to the food, to improve the customer return rate based off other recent reviews similar to this one.

For the 3rd time in a row, the food was almost inedible. Rolls were hard, dry and tasteless. The hot dog was disgusting, slimey and it tasted like a combination of everything done on the grill the past week. The hamburg was basically dried out compacted dogfood. All dajavu gor us at this place. We do not understand how this place stays afloat. It has a good history but that does not make for good food. We will never eat here again (as so many others have shared) but we were hoping that the 3rd time would be a charm. There are so many alternatives to this dive in Hanover. Spend your hard earned money on good food elsewhere.

If u're not counting calories, ordering their hotdog/hamburger special w/ chili fries & a milkshake for dessert is so worth it!
Downgrading to a 3 star due to smaller food portions & price increases. $4.09 for a tiny cup of soup is insane when the bowl is $4.59. Needless to say, we won't be visiting as much from Md.

Used to be great but just awful now. Hotdog was tough and chewy 2nd time now, also got a hamburger and maybe I'm not remembering correctly but I thought you used to get a round patty on a hamburger bun, this was a quarter slice of hamburger on a Hotdog roll.

I have visited this place numerous times over the years. But the food just keeps getting worse. I don’t understand. The chicken tenders have always been golden and delicious. They came out like dark bark on a tree. And this was after the second round. The waitress told me it was because of the oil they are using. When I went to pay that waitress told me the crew fights with management about not being able to serve them to their customers. We waited at least 5 minutes just for someone to come to the table once we found a spot. There were two other tables besides us in the whole joint and one had already finished eating. There was no sense of urgency and lack of attention on their quality is definitely noticeable. I want to defend them so bad but I just can’t. This is probably the last time my son and I will be going and it’s incredibly sad. - A former loyal supporter

6/28/2025 I come into the establishment to get a hotdog 🌭 the lady told me that fish and fries was a fish sandwich come to find out it wasn’t fish sandwich it was fish sticks not to mention I had waited 20 mins for somebody to acknowledge me didn’t like the experience or the food the hotdog wasn’t good at all won’t be coming back

Best hot dogs in town! Way better than the hot dog cart guy.
Their chili has always been my favorite. Easily the best hot dog chili I've ever had. It's not that sweet chili crap, or bbq flavored in any way.
My fiancé likes the veggie soup a lot!
