Food was good as usual. Service was horrible. It was not busy and there were 6 girls around the counter. Several kept looking over but no one came to take our order for quite some time. I guess the fact that there were no drinks or anything on our table wasn’t a clue. I finally motioned when the girls looked over again. Our server said “sorry, I was over there on two phone calls and no one told me”. No, I’m sorry - no one should have to tell you to watch your station. No silverware until we asked for it. Very poor customer service.

I had high hopes and was pretty let down. The food here is below mid. I got the double chili cheese dog special with fries. The two hotdogs that had a weird consistency. The exterior skin had a snap to it. It was a very uncomfortable texture. The chili was bland and flavorless. The onions were over powering and there was to much of them. The bread was below mediocre. The fries were unsalted and bland. The best thing on the plate was the cheese in the cup and that’s saying something. The prices were way too high for what I got. I will say the staff were super friendly and very welcoming and the restaurant itself was a nice and home style place but I won’t be back. This place has nothing famous going for it.

Not the place to go if you have anxiety or expect above average customer service. I tried to eat here once before but ended up standing by the door for over 5 minutes without anyone acknowledging me at all, despite countless waitresses on the floor and behind the counter. So, I left and went elsewhere.I went back yesterday and tried again, this time with a family member, and still zero acknowledgment. There are no signs anywhere telling you to seat yourself or where to go, except the one pointing you to carry out (which is behind an oddly high wall at the end of the bar). Again, the place was abuzz with about 8-10 waitresses behind the counter and on the floor, and not a one asked us if we needed help or a table. We ended up ordering two hotdogs from the hidden carryout person and leaving to eat in the car. She told us, after we paid, that you just come in and sit down anywhere for service. But, how would anyone, not a regular, know that???? How do you expect new patrons to know where to go or how to order without proper signage on the door or inside the entrance? And if a sign is too much, then teach your wait staff to approach guests that appear lost when they walk in. Customer Sevice 101.Hot dog was an 8/10. We would have ordered full meals if we had been greeted or invited to sit. We will not be returning.Wheelchair accessibility: This location is not wheelchair accessible inside or out.

We have been coming here for close to 25 years. Back when we first started, it was not unusual for having a wait of 15 minutes for a table or booth on a Saturday night. More recently, there is usually no wait.On Saturday, January 27, 2024 it was reminiscent of the old days where it was busy at 6 pm. We got a booth within a few minutes. An alarm should have gone off right away when the server came over and swept under the table. No experienced server usually does that as the discarded fries and trash remain throughout the day. She did explain that this was her 3rd day.We placed our order which included several items to go and we asked that they be put in towards the end of the meal. As she was taking the order it was apparent that she was struggling and didn't know the menu. Shortly after placing the order, two other servers came over to ask about our to-go order (a hot dog and milkshake). Sure enough the milkshake appeared in a few minutes before any food was delivered.We did notice our server seemingly lost behind the counter as we waited for our food. About 20 minutes went by when she finally brought over the food, all of it packaged to go. We told her that only the hot dog was to go. A few minutes later the hot dog to-go appeared but not the other food. Then the remaining food was brought by a different server but most of it was cold and one sandwich was incorrect.Sadly, this server was set to fail by management. She was not trained properly and thoroughly on their order entry system or the menu. Being that she was new, she should have been shadowed by a mentor during the busy period or put on the drive through window where she would have only had to wait on one customer at a time. Management was aware of the issue with our order but never left the counter to offer any apology or explanation. The other servers definitely have negative attitudes and are argumentative.This location has gone downhill for years. Read the other reviews. Poor food quality and service is generally a direct reflection on poor management oversight. It is no longer a bargain either. Their "special", two sandwiches and fries are about $13. Now you do get a mound of fries but the hot dogs and burgers are nothing special and often the rolls are not the freshest and overshadow and swallow the meat. Onions are cut too fine and too early in the day and are way to strong.
