The BEST ice cream place. The owner is a magician when it comes to creative (but never weird) flavors. Regardless of season there is always a reason to go but then again, who needs a reason to get ice cream? Well nobody but she has flavors for Easter, Christmas in July and Shark Week. My personal favs are the fall flavors (caramel apple, cinnamon roll) in a pumpkin cone. Then there is the epic creation of her husband "Marry Me". The renovated school house makes a perfect destination to get your creamiest decadent dessert. Her special for the recent solar eclipse was really cool too.

The dining area was spotless, and that is always refreshing. However, if you want to eat outside, they have a few benches and tables to eat at, creating a very nice atmosphere. The ice cream was absolutely delicious but the service is what personally made my day! I came in with my three grandsons and my granddaughter. My one grandson had his heart set in Oreo Cookie IceCream, which you didn't have today!!! What! Oh no! The day was about to take a bad turn, however, your teammate turned my grandson's frown upside down! Basically He was upset that you did not have Oreo cookie ice cream, so she suggested vanilla and a side cup of some Oreo cookies and he was happy as can be! I really appreciated the recommendation, great job half pint! Keep up the good work

Within the historic walls of the Little Red Schoolhouse in McSherrystown, Pennsylvania, Half Pint Creamery stands as a testament to the perfect marriage of tradition and innovation. Stepping through the doors of this charming creamery is like stepping back in time, yet experiencing something entirely new and enchanting. The preservation efforts of owners Trish and Travis Sentz are commendable. By seamlessly blending the old with the new, they have transformed this former schoolhouse into a haven of sweet delights, all while honoring its rich history, which dates back to 1884. During a recent visit with my wife, we were treated to pure magic in the form of Half Pint Creamery's seasonal Reese's Peanut Butter Egg and their classic Salted Caramel ice cream flavors. Each spoonful was a symphony of flavors and textures that left my wife craving more long after our cones were empty. The Reese's Peanut Butter Egg ice cream was a delightful tribute to the upcoming Easter holiday. Creamy, rich, and bursting with the unmistakable flavor of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, it was a true indulgence for the senses. Paired with their homemade waffle cone, it was a match made in dessert heaven. On the other hand, my Salted Caramel ice cream was a masterpiece in its own right. Luxuriously creamy with the perfect balance of sweet caramel and a hint of sea salt, it was a flavor sensation like no other. And when paired with their crispy yet chewy homemade waffle cone, it was pure bliss with every bite. Half Pint Creamery is a must-visit destination for anyone with a sweet tooth and an appreciation for history. With their commitment to preserving the legacy of the Little Red Schoolhouse while creating unforgettable ice cream flavors, Trish and Travis Sentz have truly created something special. A five-star experience through and through!

Dietary restrictions: Today, they had four dairy-free flavors, all made with a coconut milk base. The flavors were simply strawberry, simply chocolate, choco-latte, and mango. They had pints of each, and snack cups of each. They also had sugar-free items.Parking: Gravel lot with plenty of free parking. They had two or three Handicap spaces.

The food ( ice cream ) is the best you find anywhere hands down. The service is slow but that has nothing to do with the people working there it's the people in line that have no clue what they want! The ambiance is a ice cream shop .

This place does great business. All the employees are great. But just doesnt have much flavor for my taste buds. My friends love this place, so again, just my opinion, so give it a try!!!
