We did not have a good experience here. We visited on 6/2 for dinner. The restaurant was practically empty. There was a waitress who was clearly very new, and honestly she was the best thing about our dinner. The waitress "training" her was a complete disaster and extremely rude to her. Again the restaurant was empty, and you could hear what she was saying from across the room. Our food was not good and it took forever for us to order because the waitress that was supposed to be training disappeared for awhile. We won't be back any time soon.

I've never had food here I didn't like - they do good sandwiches, excellent pasta dishes, and they're unique in the area for doing regular pizza AND gluten-free. There's no wait to get a table, and they do some of the best crab cakes in the area with big chunks of real crab. 10/10 would recommend.

Excellent food and service! It's been almost a year since we have visited, kudos to the new owner and management. Looking forward to eating there again soon.

Pizza was good and the Penne vodka was amazing! Everyone was very friendly, It was a great experience. The menu was huge and everything sounded good. Worst thing about this was trying to decide what to get!! I would definitely go here again!

This is the worst food I've ever eaten! My husband and I got carryout, lasagna and sausage and peppers over pasta. Lasagna noodles were burnt, discolored and hard. Looked as though it was very old. There were no layers of anything except noodles. Very watery meat sauce with a glob of melted mozzarella on top! I MEAN NASTY! My husbands meal, sausage and peppers...sausage had a really weird taste and vegetables must have been thrown in raw! They also forgot the garlic bread. This was a Saturday night at 6 pm with not a single car in sight ! We threw it away, my dog didnt even want it, and went to bed hungry. Disgusting!

So I'm going to start from the beginning when we tried to call and make reservations. My husband tried calling multiple times with either no answer or getting hung up on. It was then that we found out the restaurant changed its name. No biggie we thought. Arrived around 6:45pm with a party of 5. There was no wait on a Friday night. Great you think. Nope. You should turn around now. We seated ourselves and the waitress came shortly after that and took our drink orders. It took a bit to get her back to take our food order. We received our cream of crab soup first. I would highly recommend you do not get this. It had a reddish tint to it and was very salty tasting. Barely had any crab in it. All of us ordered it. 2/5 of us finished it. When the next round of food came 3/5 of us received our food. Then came the cold onion rings. 15 minutes later another order of food. I ended up having to take mine home because we had already been there over an hour. We received drink refills only after asking. The restaurant was not busy, but the waitress seemed very overwhelmed and flustered. We've been to this location many times before and never had an issue. I would not recommend it since the company changed.

It's under new management and fantastic. Owner is very nice and friendly. Stromboli, calzone, and pasta is delicious. Check it out!

Had a group of 11 people for lunch. Table was ready when we arrived. (No one else was in the restaurant.) We were waited on fairly promptly. The food came out in small groups of about 3-4 servings. I had 2 slices of pizza and waited the longest. Server asked if I'd gotten my pizza after everyone else, include 3 late-comers, were served. My rude side wanted to say "do you see a plate here?" but I was nice. The food was good for all, except for my pizza, which was probably just a personal taste thing. It was very sweet and the crust was underdone. They used to have a really great cheese on pizza, but not any more. It took quite a long time to fill the requests for boxes (yes, many portions were quite large) and only one couple's check came. They had a buy one/get one 50% off coupon. They both had the same item for $10.25. The half-price one came to $6.00. Math skills are not their strong suit. When the couple said something about it, they were told only the manager could fix that and the server had no idea how it happened. She said she would try to find him. When she came back, she said once it's in the computer, it can't be changed and handed back 75 cents from the manager. We finally went to the counter to pay because those checks weren't coming any time soon.. I was the last to pay in cash. They apparently have no cash till. I needed $13.65 in change. The server had the money from those who paid before me laid out on the counter. She found about $12.00 in bills and a little more in coins in the "take a penny, leave a penny cup." Then she rummaged through her own purse to come up with more coins. I was short a quarter, but at that point, did not care. Can't imagine what they'd have done if I was the only one to use cash or if the others hadn't had exact change to allow for some ones. Although the food was fine, we will be taking this place off our rotation of places to go each month.

This place is dead at lunch time for a reason. Cream of crab soup had cold crab with shell pieces in it (my co-worker soup was equally bad). And on top of that, the waitress with the ugly tattoos on display didn't even wait until the kitchen door was closed before she started complaining about the fact that I didn't like their terrible soup by exclaiming "Oh My God!". With that rude attitude we didn't wait any longer, walked out immediately never to return.

This place has changed owners and unfortunately the food quality and service has suffered greatly. I ordered the crab bisque which used to be amazing but now is just a watery mess with a little crab sprinkled on top. I ordered the crab cake which was the lunch special and was equally disappointed. I hope this place finds a new owner who knows what they are doing soon! I doubt they will be in business for very long though.

I have never been disappointed with their service or food. So good! I eat lunch here several times a month as well as carry out dinners. Great salads, soups and bread!

Everything I've eaten here has been mediocre at best. 3 visits and we've been greatly underwhelmed each time. This is a small local chain and we've eaten in two of their other locations (Westminster and Hampstead) with great results. But the food in McSherrystown doesn't match up. The pizza sauce tastes like it's straight out of a can. The 3/4 oz. bag of chips given with a sub is a complete joke, why even bother. I can detect no herbs, spices, or flavors at all, it tastes very canned and bland. I hope the owners can bring McSherrystown up to par with their other locations. They clearly know how to run successful restaurants but something is just not right here.

This restaurant is a great alternative to the plethora of soulless chain restaurants in Hanover. The food is outstanding and absolutely wonderful. You can tell everything is fresh made and authentic. My family has been several times. The gnocchi sorrentini is my favorite- delicious sauce with big gooey chunks of Buffalo mozzarella. The crab cakes are great, as well as the veal sambotica. I've also had some of their specialty pizza, which was good but paled to the gnocchi. Now the con- the service definitely stinks. It took twenty minutes tonight just to have a waitress visit our table and make first contact. All of their young waitresses seemed very skilled at avoiding eye contact. Also, most entrees come with bread but you have to all for it. Tonight I had to ask four times before she remembered. If you can brave the service, the food is worth it.

My wife and I went there last night for the first time since opening under the new ownership and from the first moments in there we were very impressed, first with the maturity of the staff, the attention to customer service to the new look of the place(added coffee bar and 2 separate rooms on each side of the bldg) Once we were sat down the super friendly waitress was at our table within a minute and took our drink orders and gave us great recommendation on dishes and desserts. Our food came in a timely manner and it was to notch, great taste and cooked perfectly and the temperature was even through out. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a casual Italian meal or even just s quick pizza and subs night!!! One last think, get the Cannoli, well worth it!!!
