Very nice local store, they have varieties of candies and also couples of option for dog treats too & prices are reasonable. they have there own ice cream store too.

location is very easy and right beside the road. They have plenty of parking too.

Wish I were still allowed to eat it, but now just buy for others. Great selection of excellent chocolates. My family (and I) like it better than many of the other well known brands. Service is excellent, as well.

Love Michael Mootz so much that I just had all of my kids’ Easter candy shipped to Florida! Everything was meticulously packed, which ensured all of my items arrived in perfect condition!

I love their candy and have always had a great experience when placing orders to be shipped. I ordered some Valentine’s Day candy and unfortunately one item was not what I had ordered. Since it was not opened until the 14th, I was unaware there had been a mistake. I emailed customer service that night and the next morning the shipping manager called me to correct the order. They were so apologetic and shipped out the correct immediately- I was so impressed. Every time I’m in Wilkes , this shop is on my must visit list and will continue to be!

I just experienced this place today. The best chocolate covered strawberry 🍓 . The trick is they take half the strawberry and cover the entire thing in milk chocolate. I went today on Valentine’s Day .. and they always make extra .. 1 half of pound which is about 12 pieces was $15.00. It was wrapped in an old fashioned box with wrapping paper. The regular grocery store was charging double for strawberries that were made almost a week ago.. It was like heaven walking in here. They have dark chocolate pretzels that are outrageous. I opted for the mini mini bag.. I thought Gertrude Hawk was good but this place is mind blowing. One of the best chocolate places in the world..
everything in this place is covered in chocolate.. potato chips, popcorn, Oreos, candy..,you name it they have it..

Chocolate is hands down the best!! We just finished our chocolate covered strawberries and somehow they were better than ever!! So good!!! If you haven’t tried you’re missing out!

I've been a lifelong Michael Mootz fan. Recently, I picked up a box of their chocolate-covered pretzels as a gift, and the woman at the counter was kind enough to offer to wrap it. It looked beautiful. Their shop is a gem of the area.

My family no longer lives in PA, but this is still my mom and dad’s favorite place to get fudge. I reached out to get fudge delivered on their anniversary and the timing was perfect! The Michael Mootz team worked with me to get it delivered in enough time so that it was as fresh as could be. I also ended up treating us to some of the dark chocolate vanilla buttercreams, which are a favorite from my childhood. Overall the experience was wonderful, and the packaging was great being states away. A huge thank you to the Michael Mootz team for helping me surprise my parents with one of their favorite treats. The fudge and buttercreams were amazing as always!
