I hate to leave bad reviews but I had a terrible experience here tonight while doing a doordash. everything was fine until i pulled up to the window. the girl at the window seemed to have no idea what was going on. she at first told me the person couldn’t get their ice cream because the machine was down and i quote “i know they got other things but some people would be disappointed about the ice cream.” so i asked the customer if they wanted a refund or something else to which they wanted a refund on their ice cream. she then said okay and i think she thought they wanted an entire refund on their order with multiple food items. i sit there for a couple minutes to which she comes out and tells me they can’t do the refund and the person has to on their own end. weird but okay. i sit and continue waiting for the food and then she comes out several more minutes later not even recognizing im the same person. instead she gives me a total for the car that is now behind me. i let her know im still the doordash and the order got food. she questions that they got food and i show her the order then she then proceeds to tell me that in order for this person to get a refund for the shakes, they need to cancel their entire order and basically they never even made the food. to me if you get a doordash order and the ice cream machine is down you still prepare everything else. what it seems is the food was never even prepared from the moment i arrived. i can also issue the refunds for the milkshakes on my own and i otherwise still should’ve been able to receive their order. i let the people know and they told me they were fine not getting the refund and just wanted their food which i don’t believe they had ever even started making. i go back through the drive thru and sit at the speaker and am never acknowledged. the girl wasn’t rude to me at all but i believe she didn’t want to deal with me or fixing the situation which never should’ve been an issue in the first place. i understand they’re understaffed but that’s not an excuse to not do your job. i have worked in two fast food locations and the way they handled everything is bizarre to me. my job as a door dasher is to deliver food and i couldn’t even pick it up. also it’s not the customers job to get their refund and have to cancel an entire order because sonic never had the decency to try and prepare it. i’ve had problems here before and have always given sonic the benefit of the doubt as a customer but i will not be back anytime soon. also i want to say i didnt give the girl a hard time in any way, i tried to be understanding but nothing she said made any sense and i wasnt going to argue so the order ended up being cancelled and i left. sorry for the long rating i just didnt expect to sit at a sonic for almost 20 minutes to be given nothing with absolutely no urgency whatsoever.

I checked in and waited half an hour after app and screen said hop was on the way. I finally hit the call button and they brought it right out. I ordered ice cream and it was completely melted and ruined. The employees were just standing inside doing nothing. Manager didn’t care. Tried contacting Sonic Customer Service. No help there either.

Growing up I loved going to sonic it was always great, until the last year of my life when I watched as this sonic has drastically went down hill and become a place of employment for the least competent humans society could muster up out of the last 5 time I have went I’ve waited 20+ minutes for my things just to get wrong items, cold food, or melted drinks, that being said I’ve come back and gave chance after chance hoping they would see themselves declining and would do better though after this trip after waiting for 30+ minutes for 3 drinks and a tots just to have to hit the red button and be told they never had my order in their system is honestly pathetic. You have better chances of a McDonald’s ice cream machine working than you do the Hanover sonic having any competent employees

Horrible experience. If I could rate this less than one star I would. My husband and I went there to order 3 drinks and a tots. Not that difficult of and order and should not have taken to much time to make. We ordered, person gave us the total, my husband put his card in and we began our wait. We sat and waited for over 30 minutes! Watched 4 different cars that got there after us order, get their food, and leave, and still we had nothing. Eventually my husband asked for an ETA on our order because it had been 30 minutes. We were asked what our order was, so we told them and they said they would get right on it. Ok so for so good, a little annoying but they are working on it. Well, we then had someone come out to our car to ask us about the order and then claim an order was never placed, paid for, and they couldn't find it in their system. What??? We had been sitting there for 30 minutes, we spoke to someone, they have us a total now you are telling us an order doesn't exist and we never put the order in? We eventually left after that. This was the third time we have gone there in a roe and have had some kind of service issue or it taking longer then 20 minutes to get food or a simple order. Absolutely ridiculous..... I do not recommend going here

Came through today and placed a mobile order for literally two drinks. Was told at the speaker they were out of almost everything on the menu before we even told them we were there for a mobile order. We didn’t think much of it since we only got drinks. Got to the window to be told they were out of rt 44 cups and refunded our order, to have a nice day. I’m confused? If you’re out of quite literally everything it takes to run a business. Why are you open? As a precious restauraunt manager myself I’m stumped on why there was no solution attempted to be found. You mean to tell me you have no cups in the building and can’t refund me while also making me a smaller size of whatever you have? Shut the doors and don’t open them again if that’s how you run a restaurant. Won’t be back and I’m sad about that since sonic used to be such a nostalgic spot.

My food quality was so poor this time around. The chicken sandwich was hard as a brick, fries tasted like they were refried. I asked for water and was given sprite zero. It will be a bit before we go back. Hopefully the staff here gets better training by then.

Horrible. The food was ice cold, they forgot half of the order. I got the wrong burger, the toy for my kid was missing and they forgot my husband hotdogs. 3 things and all wrong. How is this possible?
