Harmony Inn sounded a lot nicer than it actually was. If you've never been there, expect good food and an ultra casual atmosphere. The menu features mostly German dishes, although there are burgers, fish sandwiches, salads, and a half dozen non-German entrees. I had the Northern Goddess Spaetzle, which was very good. Lots of craft beers on tap but no unique cocktails. I'd go back for the spaetzle.

Another great meal, I love going to historic places and enjoying the food and atmosphere. Well it's been over two years. Since I last ate here. As a quite wealthy dude... this was the last time i ever had dinner with my dad... ?

Absolutely will go back when we are in the area again. Food was excellent and I would give service more stars if I could. She even brought my husband's service dog a bowlnof water and a treat. Even offered to have a plain burger cooked for him. The patio is super dog friendly when it's warm out. Charming town and loved the preservation of the restaurant.

Not sure if it was an off night since our experience was not aligned with other reviews. Stopped at the bar to see if we could order food at the bar and the bar tender walked in from another room and right past us as if we were not even standing there. No hello, no be with you in a moment, nothing. I guess we were an unwanted distraction to avoid. Walked into hostess area, empty. Stood there waiting for someone to seat us and realized there was no hostess, just a waitress doing way to many things that others used to do, like cleaning tables, taking out trash, waiting tables, and seating people. While eating I watched our vacant hostess experience playing out over and over again. Wurst Sandwiches were on rock hard buns, fries were fries, beer selection was good. After receiving food no sign of waitress to get another beer as it was obvious they were too busy doing non-waitress things. Can’t ding them, they were just having to do it all. Saw a person at another table get up and have to get his own silverware from the front area. Also obvious nobody really in charge. The seating area felt cluttered with a mess of extra chairs and high chairs jammed into an unappealing and useless empty book shelf. Ditch the old book shelf and put up a period based wall shelf and slide the chairs under the shelf or something. I also don’t think the half vacant other book shelves with sparse scatterings of dusty books are what they used to be. Sure they have not moved in decades. Period based decor is nice, but it is in sore need of a refresh. Last treat was climbing over a large dog as we exited. So over the inclusion of dogs. Who is liable if the dog bit me? Feels like a lot of go to spots are mailing it in these days. Could be other challenges. The old Harmony Inn needs more than North County just slapping their name on it, which that leverages seems to be fading, it needs an interior refresh, bus boy, or bus person or bus person/person sitter, engaging bar tender, get rid of the junk pop machine clutter in the parking lot, and a shift manager who wants repeat business.

Food was excellent and servers were very good. One was training so having two at a time was a bit much but overall good. We did not know there was live music on Sunday afternoon so the music was absolutely unbearable here we were seated. Ask to move to another table and was told we couldn't because they were blocked off. Not sure why. I had made a reservation and would have thought I could to an unoccupied table where some were available. Have always had great experience there but this time left something to be desired. We could not even talk with our friends as we had to holler over the must. I would recommend but not on a Sunday afternoon.

While the schnitzel was tender it had absolutely no flavor nor did the potato Pancakes, the waitress continuously forgot to clean off empty dishes, does not execute service well. Steak was undercooked, beet salad lacked beets (lots of salad hardly any beets, mustard spaetzel had terrible flavor and overcooked (crispy) coffee never arrived. Dessert was best part of meal

First off, get the pretzel appetizer, you won't regret it. You'll be talking about the dips all week. This place is always amazing. I love food, the entertainment, service, everything ?.... Except the parking. The lot had several potholes and the on street parking was almost non existent. All in all I'd definitely go back, but I'll be praying the neighbors sell them at least enough property to add a row to the parking lot. .... Oh and that they start offering their uncooked spatzel to take and make at home :)

if I could give this place a 10 for atmosphere I would. For Me where are you eat out is just as important as what you eat. The harmony Inn makes a great night out and I wish I could do it every night of the week.
