My husband and I loved this restaurant so much that we will drive 2.5 hours away from our home and stay in the hotel, to enjoy it. This was our 3rd trip up and the food is good, steaks cooked to perfection but not sure it's worth the money. The steaks could be seasoned more but are great cuts of meat. The sides go well with the meals and the wine is excellent! The ambiance and service are top tier.

We came in here for the first time for my w8fes birthday. Our waiter, Rob, was absolutely amazing. Had knowledge on every level, from comfort in the restaurant, the menu and it's selections, and even the behind the scenes stuff, like how food allergies are handled in the kitchen, left my wife and I very satisfied. That's just the service. The food....so amazingly terrific! Anybody who is worried about spending the "higher" price tag to eat at this restaurant, can rest assured, the money is completely worth the entire experience! I'll even add, I expected to spend 30% more than what we did, and we still ate and app, bread, a full meal each, a shared side, and full a dessert each. Still actually cheaper than I thought it would've been and very much worth it all. Thank you 1700 degrees! We will be back.

I went to 1700 Steakhouse last night and everything was top tier. The drinks were on point, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the salmon was delicious. The atmosphere was comfortable, and the service was great from start to finish. Definitely a spot I'd recommend for a nice dinner or date night. I'll be back for sure.

Beautiful Restaurant, But Easily the Worst Meal I've Ever Had I mean this from the bottom of my heart — this has to be the worst dinner I've ever had in my life. My fiancé and I go out to eat often, and just the day before, we dined at Mawn in Philadelphia where everything was a 10/10 — easily one of the best meals we've ever had. We came to Hershey, PA, to take our engagement photos and decided to have our engagement dinner here. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful — elegant setup, great ambiance, and it looks like a place that should deliver amazing food. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. I ordered a Moscow Mule and my fiancé got a red sangria. The drinks were just okay. I sent my Mule back and replaced it with an Arnold Palmer, which also tasted off. For appetizers, I had the beef marrow bone and she ordered the duck with burrata. My marrow tasted strange, and her duck came out cold. For entrées, I ordered the braised veal pappardelle and she got the black diver scallops with corn pudding (🤦🏾‍♂️). The scallops were overcooked and incredibly salty, and my pasta was easily the worst dish I've ever been served — after just three bites, I pushed the plate away. For years, I've had Morton's Steakhouse at the bottom of my list, but 1700 Steakhouse has officially taken that spot. Gorgeous restaurant, yes — but the food was a complete 0/10.

The steaks were outstanding, as was the rest of the food. Service was very good. Ambience was lacking a bit. No background music. Also, we could hear vacuums or construction noise? Not sure which but it didn't create the best atmosphere. Overall, still one of the best restaurants in the area.

Thank you for the wonderful Anniversary dinner. Our service was fantastic and the food was phenomenal.

We enjoyed the meal. Service was attentive. Started with the oysters (selection of three types)—pricy but very fresh. Ordered the dry aged New York Strip. Perfectly cooked. Enough for two to share if you don't have a big appetite. Regretted ordering the crispy brussels—too much food—but made for good leftovers. Would recommend.

Our wait, Mike, took care of our every need. Remarkably, the noise level was quiet--no loud music, which we were thrilled about. The food is delicious, a motivation for going there in the first place, especially the steaks. It was my son's birthday, so a beautiful dessert was offered. All in all, it was a wonderful experience.

My wife's and my second time to dine at 1700 and as before, the meal and service was just outstanding. Great cocktails, incredible wine selection, and our waiter Mark made the night very memorable. 1700 is one of the top restaurants in PA, and if you really want to enjoy it to the max, get a room at the Hilton where the property is located, sure made it easy.

Requested a booth - 2 weeks in advance. They did not have one available. They put us in a tight crowded corner. Celebrating a birthday. Very disappointed because i request a booth far in advance. Food was good, but the table situation but put off the whole birthday dinner.

We enjoyed our evening at 1700 but there were a few misses that require mention because of their high end status. First of all they do a great job jamming a sophisticated ambiance into a Hilton Hotel lobby and the server was excellent, professional, friendly, and an expert on everything on the menu. Drinks were well curated and expertly crafted. The wedge salad was a hit, the duck and buratta appetizer sounded amazing but wasn't as flavorful as it could and should have been. The salmon was excellent and as a surprise was set on one of the best crab cakes we have ever tried. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was the ribeye- it was served at the correct temperature and had good flavor but there was gristle throughout- I know there is fat on a ribeye in the nest stakehouses but I didn't get one clean cut out of mine- a high-end establishment can do better. There were plenty of dessert options. We selected to peach cobbler which was served hot and fresh but the peach was lost in an overly sweet and excessively cinnamoned cobbler. Price and value are good for a downtown, capitol city, steakhouse

We were in town for a conference and were looking for somewhere to go for a quick bite. 1700 was perfect - the service was great and the menu was diverse. Will go again when in town.
